    @TheRainyGarden
    I'm so pleased for you... it's such a pity these roses are so difficult to get hold of now.

    Best of luck with your endeavours in this..

    The new Dame Deborah James rose is out of stock on the Harkness site, but now being sold for £19.99 incl. postage on eBay and Amazon (still giving £2.50 to bowel cancer research). It's somehow all too easy to add plants to the other stuff in your basket on those sites, isn't it.🤔  I had an Amazon voucher, so no brainer  really...

    Cottage Memories have already despatched Giardina and Blackberry Nip (only finally ordered last night). Good service!

    The rose photos posted in this thread are all droolworthy. Thanks @cooldoc for setting the ball rolling and everyone for posting their choicest summer pictures.

    Unfortunately we are getting a late freeze tonight after weeks of warmth. Hopefully all the buds that have appeared this week will survive and I don't lose the first spring flush on all my roses.

    @Marlorena please keep the suggestions coming.. a lot of them are to be appreciated in other gardens, even though I wish I could have them in mine..

    @Nollie I moved around 8 of them to the ground.. nothing quite as big as your pot or your GJ.. I can understand the hernia/ slipped disc feel :p but its done and you can pat your back..

    @SYinUSA how bad is the freeze? expected to be -2 here.. just for one night.. and I hope that will be the last of it..

    I think we have gone through all the colours possible.. awaiting @Victoria Sponge to start the new thread now.. nothing like the colours of new growth :)
     Thank you all for posting your fabulous pics...

    @cooldoc I heard -2 predicted earlier but it seems to have been adjusted up to 0. Very unusual for this time of year here, about 10 degrees colder than average. I'm sure the buds will be fine - they're still fairly tight and not on the verge of opening.
  • @Marlorena kindly said she would start the new thread @cooldoc.

    I am behind again and will have to go back to check out everyone’s purple shades. Beautiful roses and gardens everyone, I have enjoyed catching up with all these memories of summer!
