Well it was a right palaver lifting it into the hole but amazingly enough, no scratches, just sore muscles!

Oh are re alliums, Perki is the allium queen, but I second Purple Rain - it always looks stunning and is the only one of several I’ve tried that reliably returns.

Wow Nollie, that is a substantial rose rootmass to deal with! And great you managed to save yourself from the throns. Looking forward to seeing her in June.

Smudge is looking what is that.

Last couple of pages have been such a treat. What a wonderful collection of roses we have got together 🌹

Congratulations on moving Gertrude @Nollie. I had one in a pot at my old house, couldn't face doing what you've done when I moved so I left her behind. All those prickles! She also tried to become a climber after the first flush.

Well done @Nollie, though I did not transplant anything as big as your GJ I do know the exertion to move a rose and that must have been some endeavour!  Not without some sweat and swearing if it was me.

Smudge is doing exactly what he should do, look on in awe and wonder where his next biscuit is coming from.

Thank you all for the pictures of roses over the last few days, the images and accompanying chat has certainly given me food for thought and many, many tips.

Still under snow here - but potting on my new perennials for the new border - the miscanthus and verbena arrived today along with even more cannas and dahlias.

Funnily my Gladiator & Mount Everest alliums are already breaking through, but no sign of Purple Sensation yet...

    Roll on the warmer weather.

No, not that one.. good guess though..

I've just checked and it's 'out of stock', so I can safely reveal that it's ''Surpassing Beauty''..  I don't think it's generally available and is always difficult to get hold of..
