@Marlorena ooh what did you order? Ive really become fond of Salvias and they do very well here in spots lavender fails.

I brought queen of Sweden potted in Autumn for a reasonable Garden centre price, hoping its a good choice! I really do prefer the cupped ones like that. Elizabeth just didnt tempt me at all.

I bought 6, as I've got some bare spaces in sunny areas at the moment..

    'Nachtvlinder' .. dark, crimson..
    'Merced Blue'.. lilac colour
'Blue Note'.. dark blue, I've had this one before..
'So Cool Pale Blue'.. I wanted this last year but couldn't get it..
    'La Mancha' .. light yellow
    and 'Delice Feline'.. purple

I'll probably pot them on for a bit and plant out late May, something like that..

@JessicaS, I also have Queen of Sweden. It is trouble free rose and flowers are beautiful.

Looking at the new handbook, they seem to be promoting trouble free roses.

@Marlorena are they the sawfly damage to the stems?
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Of those I have Nachtvlinder, Blue Note and So Cool Pale Blue Marlorena and SCPB is by far the best of the three - vigorous but well-behaved with bigger flowers and many more of them. Nachtvlinder is a monster invader here, spreads and layers itself everywhere!

I’m getting really twitchy, I’ve usually done my perennial orders by now, but so many new 9cm plants died on me during the early heatwave last year, before they had matured enough to cope with it. Maybe I’ll risk a small order..

Nollie, I thought you had some but couldn't remember which ones..  I shall keep an eye on Nachtvlinder then, I don't like invasive plants..

    @Eustace
Yes, I imagine so.. I don't usually take a lot of notice, especially on climbers,  and the rose will still flower, but this is right in my line of vision when I walk around, so I'll get around to it later on..  don't think I've seen it quite so bad on one stem before..

Welcome back @edhelka, even if it is just for a rant 😆 Have you got any new roses this year?
Nothing yet. I was considering a new DA. Probably will get something else, maybe something from Style roses. They have several roses I've been looking at for some time.
