@Marlorena glad to hear from you. Please take care of your health. I'm sure that the roses are robust enough to take care of themselves in the meantime.

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
And hello again on here Marlorena, yes please, do take it easy and look after yourself. There are so many times on this thread when people are asking for advice I’ve thought ‘what would Marlorena say or do?’ You are a hard act to follow!
Here’s my tiny Ebb Tide, a rose that is very slow to get going and barely grown in the two years I’ve had it. There is no discernible reason (no competition from hungry feeders, good soil, well fed and watered etc.) so I’m moving it to a pot in an even shadier location and for some cosseting in the hope it may put on a little more growth. At least I’m getting proper purple blooms at this time of year rather than the usual fucshia!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Most of my roses have defoliated by now, still the blooms keep coming like this one below: Darcey Bussel still going strong, though the blooms are weighted by the rain. Rosa de Rescht, has a bit of rust on the leaves; one of the few roses that haven't defoliated on their own. Susan Williams Ellis has done well this season. English Miss - my phone camera hasn't captured the pale pink blush correctly.

Always a pleasure to see your posts, @Marlorena. Thank you for the recommendation of Dee-Lish. Everything has gone dark and grim here but this one keeps blooming. Delphiniums and foxgloves at the close of autumn must be a lovely surprise.
Thanks so much everyone, very kind, let us look forward to Spring. I only have 1 bareroot arriving which I ordered earlier and someone has already dug the hole for me.
@Nollie Your doggie is gorgeous and hope she's settled in. You have a way of explaining things so much better than me, so no probs there..
English Miss is gorgeous, I used to have it. Desdemona is in almost full flush here. Can't do away with this one. laters... xx
What a nice surprise to find you here Marlorena, we do miss you even if there are plenty of others to advise us. Take great care of yourself X
In a total coincidence I logged on to say that my free replacement The Anniverary Rose/Deelish arrived from PeterB this morning. It looks much better than my first one and I hope an early season Bareroot has a better chance than a March one.

It's on my virtual list of MW alternatives. I must put that list into writing just in case.....
Nice to see you back here, even if only for a fleeting visit. Keep well.
