  • You are lucky it stopped long enough to snap @Marlorena
My Sparrowhawk is in and out like a flash, hardly seen never mind snapped. 😆

It was there quite some time, staring at me... is it a Sparrowhawk?  I've been calling it a Kestrel every time I see it... I should know the difference and I've tried to check but I'm still not certain..

  • Talk of the devil @Marlorena in the garden this morning I find the Sparrowhawk sitting eating one of my LBJ ! Not sure if it was a Sparrow or Dunnock 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

'Soul' is glorious in your garden Nollie, especially with the scent included..  I always meant to get it when it was released, but never got around to it..

I had to look up what LBJ meant..   It made me laugh a bit because local dialects can mean something quite different.  I think in Scotland for instance..

I do struggle with predation and always hope the victim escapes, but they all have to eat..  I admit to releasing butterflies or bees trapped in spider's webs..

  • I do too @Marlorena but that's more because I don't like spiders 😱
The LBJ I picked up from listening to Bill Oddie talk about birds.😁 It makes me sad to think one of my little ones have gone, but glad it's not the Robin, I only have one of them!
