Good evening all. Well I got soaked through leaving 'sco this morning and it has been raining on and off all day. Pouring now. I do hope that T'Bird's drought has been broken and that she and her OH come back to a slightly greener garden.
Hazel, I hope that your old/newish chair got picked up for you today. Fingers crossed for Thursday that the fence can be put up whilst it is dry.
Rosie, you have been a busy bee but its good to see you again. I would love to have hens too Rosie. Those three strutted around like they own the place. I loved the fact that my friend had 3 different coloured ones.
Ante, it must be a nice change to show German tourists around rather than your usual Italian groups. I expect you will have many more of them to do now that the Covid situation has eased.

Hello Ruby and all to follow. Ruby I am so sorry to hear about your OH's discomfort and the broken night you have had. I hope that both of you can have a quiet, restful day.
SGL, I was only a car drive away from home so managed to get dry fairly quickly. I've woken up to more heavy rain this morning.

So sorry your OH was in so much pain. Do hope both of you are still asleep and can have a restful day. Take care.
LB, glad you weren't far from home and could get changed quickly.
It's very dark this morning,  seems so early this year.  It's rained heavily during the night, the garden looks absolutely soaked. Grass looks boggy. I know we needed it, but I'd like it to ease off now. Heavy rain and storms are forecast for the next two weeks. Hope it changes.
    Need tea.

Good morning all. Lovely day yesterday despite the busyness! Fiancé very stressed as he is being asked to cancel our holiday, I hadn’t realised there was a wedding scheduled for-the Saturday we are away and the owners of the company are away( 5th time this year) in their house in Spain so there is nobody to run things. Am I being unreasonable to expect them to change their flights? This year has been difficult because they are asking him to take on so much responsibility in their absences and he is basically self employed plus trying to set up his own sideline of renting out fridge trailers. They are nice people but demanding and difficult they really struggle to keep staff. Fiancé has been with them every summer for years but this year has been dreadful because they are away so much but micro manage him when they are around. He has the patience of a saint but like many placid calm people he can only be pushed so far then watch out.
I hate to see him so anxious and exhausted we desperately need this week away. Only going to Yorkshire but so looking forward to it.
Sorry for long post I do value the combined wisdom of you all on here but feel free to ignore me.
@Rubee hope your OH is in less pain, could he discuss his issues with a pharmacist if doctors appointments are hard to come by?  there are lots of options for pain management and it’s not acceptable for him to suffer. It must be so upsetting for you to see him struggling.
Glad to hear we all have rain thoughI do have washing to dry so one sunny day would be helpful.

Good morning Rubee, LB, SGL, debs and all to follow.

Rubbe, I'm so sorry to hear that your OH was in pain. Hope he is better now, and that you managed to sleep.

Debs, also sorry to hear that about your fiance. Yo are not unreasonable at all. It's their business and they should be more sensible about people who work for them. They sound more like business owners in Croatia.

Here is very cloudy morning. I'm hoping to have rain day earlier. Nevermind that I'll go to cottage after school. Yesterday came one more row of electric wire and I must put it in place.

Have a nice day and see you all later.

Debs you're definitely not being unreasonable. Doesn't matter where your holiday is, it's your and booked. I echo everything that Ante has said. Their business, they should manage bookings. So easy for them to change their flights, especially as where they are going is their own property. You and your fiance deserve your holiday, do hope things can be sorted. Hope you can go away and don't lose any money if things don't go your way.
Ante, have a good day hope all goes well sorting out wiring at cottage.
