We've had a lovely day at the agricultural show. Not as crowded as I expected though, but that was good - no huge queue for fish & chips and Mr Whippy ice creams! It was a lovely warm day, summer dress weather.

    Hello all.
Debs, what beautiful flowers. The colour palette is very reminiscent of SGL's Cafรฉ au Lait dahlia. I am so pleased that you had a great weekend. Hope you had a lovely rest this p.m.
Busy, those pictures are great! Aren't the sheep races good fun. The small people on ponies always remind me of the Thelwell cartoons. Two of my great nephews are great competitors and they are 6 and 4 years old. Their Mum shows horses.
Yvie, what fantastic pictures. The sun on the sea is magic and I think that the pink plant in your second pic is bougainvillea which always reminds me of the Med. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

I meant to say SGL, sounds like the gazebo was much easier to take down than it was to put up! well done on all your gardening work today. I think Ruby has been busy too.

A very good morning everybody. I am going to visit the OH of one of my friend's who passed away a few years ago. These are the couple who owned the house on Coniston where we ladies used to have many happy weekends away and earned our nickname of the Connie Crew. I'm not exactly certain what his job was but he did a lot of his work at Brantwood, John Ruskin's home. We did a lot of visiting there as the tea room had the most delicious cakes and a real fire. I can also claim that we all managed to climb the Old Man of Coniston but I don't think I could manage that one these days.
Happy Autumn Snoopy love Thanksgiving cartoon Snoopy and woodstock
