(Apparently this is my third mention of that plant in this thread lol)

  • My cream ginger lilies. In full flower right now, fabulous.

Must be a good 'un! 👍
  • This year has been a year for golden oldie saxifraga London Pride and a little old Stone Crop which is going for world domination. Both have been covered in flying things for months and spread to blanket proportions.
My prediction for next year is Erigeron because everybody says so.

Thanks for posting the pics @LG_  - I'd love to go to Gravetye one day. E. Annus and Diascia personata would be a lovely combination; very light.

@plant pauper  how long does your London Pride flower for?  I didn't know it had a very long season.
  • Salvia Amistad.  Three small plants have created a river of blue, buzzing with bees!

    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

Salvia So Cool Pale Blue, non-stop flowering since early May, shrugs off both torrential rain and flamethrower heat.

I've just put in two in the community garden, on the basis of your glowing reports @Nollie - I aim to keep them fairly small and low. They are planted into sand, essentially - full, all day sun. They are doing well so far.
  • Geranium Azure Rush is another star.  Flowers for months and months, and the leaves have lovely reddish patches as autumn progresses.  It is not keen on afternoon sun though.
