    My bush tomatoes, Minibel. Not grown them before but very productive and no faffing with canes and strings. 

    Also an honourable mention to my Helenium ‘Mardi Gras’ too as it has clumped out well and blooming prolifically despite the hot weather. 
    My garden and I live in South Wales.

    Dandelions and other tap-rooted weeds have done well despite the prolonged drought / intense heat we've endured here (still no rain....)🤬

    Verbena bonariensis has been worth it's weight for requiring minimal attention and distracting from other struggling plants. Roses (mainly DA modern shrub roses) have done surprisingly well in these conditions. Hardy geraniums (as ever) have been good 'doers' but only with more vigilance on the watering / cutting back front. Choisyas have been pretty good too.
    Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Osteospermums that survived the winter in the ground. Flowered without a break through winter and spring and are still at it now with minimal water and baking sun!
    Not all overwinter. It's the luck of the draw unless you find a named variety I suppose.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    My cardoon has been amazing this year. V. Boneriensis has done well. Perennial osteospermum was great.

    Penstemon. Amazed how well it has coped with the drought.

    Sanguisorba 'Raspberry Coulis'. It's flowered for a very long time and withstood the heat and drought surprisingly well.
    "What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".

    Hi @Loxley,

    I like the look of that sanguisorba .... does it stay upright OK?
    I grow sanguisorba menziesii  .... which is lovely but a bit of a flopper.

    Daucus carota has been flowering for months and insects love it.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    My Ipomea Lobata Mina 'Spanish flag' have given and are still giving,  a wonderful display.
