Must give a big shout out to the NHS [ although I am fully aware it has its faults ] Moira went into hospital at 7.00, theatre at 8.30, and I can collect her anytime after lunch. I should add, none of this is special treatment for me, except the surgeon phoning me as soon as he was done. he recognised the name and asked Moira.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hi everyone, not been specially busy but trying to catch up on our absence last week. All the pots we moved to shade are now back in their proper place. We have had our Acer man here today, it's the same one I work with at Capel. He's very good but boy does he like to talk. Anyway I got him to explain more about what he does to OH, hopefully we can carry on from what he's done a bit better now. I am learning but as I always say OH has a better eye than me for structure and form. Best wishes to all with medical issues.
Have to admit I don't love the NHS as much as I did. Still waiting to hear from the West Suffolk hospital about OH's operation. They never replied to the letter from his GP surgery a few weeks ago and they knew nothing about his referral from the private hospital that the NHS referred OH to 2 1/2 years ago as they said it was urgent. The surgeon had said he could fit in the operation in February when the lung function test results were due but the lung function tests were postponed to March. Then op was for 24th August, cancelled for the 5th time as OH was referred to the NHS hospital. No news.
Sorry, you must be fed up with my moaning about it, but OH is in pain, bad side leg is very skinny, one leg is now shorter that the other from walking crookedly as he can't stand on the right leg.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Why don't you try her @Busy-Lizzie, if her staff are on the ball, they might just bring it to her attention and being cynical, she'd get good publicity if she sorted it.
I do understand it's a bit more difficult as it's not actually you but your OH who must jump up and down and perhaps he's not the sort of person to do so. The situation must be so frustrating for you.

Before I had my hip done in 2005, I was in a very similar situation.
Try contacting your MP, Local Press, etc. Something really ought to have happened by now.
