    Afternoon folks,

    @raisingirl, sympathies.

@chicky, best wishes to your OH and @Punkdoc, to Moira, too.

We've had a lazy morning as events over the last few days caught up with us. We did do a gentle stroll up the lane just before lunch and saw with amazement a new house in a field where a stables had been. They kept that quiet and I don't remember seeing big building lorries going past on a regular basis.

Love daffodils @Pat E and always buy some in January to cheer myself up.

I must go and have a potter around the garden.

    Good afternoon.

@raisingirl - it's so hard losing a family pet. Ā They are such an important part of the family unit. Ā And yes, they do unite us and always listen when we need them.

Lovely flowers @Pat E you are probably tucked up in bed now. Ā Spring is coming!!

I hope Moira's operation is successful @punkdoc and that you will be a very good nurse when she comes home!!Ā

@AuntyRach Ā Sounds like you had a great time. Ā Lucky with the weather too, obviously!

Still hot here - but 32°C which is well, bearable?  I don't know - I'm inside in the cool!!  I'll venture out later and perhaps plant some brassicas.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend everyone.

Sending sympathy to @raisingirl. It's always hard losing a loved pet.

Good luck to Moira @punkdoc. I hope she makes a quick recovery.

We've had a lovely lunch with friends, sat in their garden.

    Thanks all.
I am sure I will be a bloody awful nurse, but I will try.
Just keeping everything crossed, that we will get good news.

Morning all. Ā I’m up early because I have to drive Hubby into town for a dental appt. I’ll be glad when he has two eyes that have even vision. 😳.Ā

We are supposed to have heavy rain today. Time will tell.

    best wishes to Moria.

    Where is everyone today?

Not doing much myself today.Ā  Yesterday I started seeing what I can only describe as a flight of tiny black birds in a skein going across my eyes and became quite alarmed - is this the retinal detachment my optician warned me of, that I should act on immediately?Ā  But unlike 'floaters' these remained whether my eyes were open or shut.Ā  They subsided but were followed by a migraine headache.Ā  I have had migraines before - but none for about 10 years and never with the zigzag aura that I had yesterday.Ā  Still feeling a bit shabby today so taking it easy.

Hope all you guys are enjoying your gardens/being with your families and friends.

@didyw, I think you should contact your optician tomorrow and just get some reassurance that your eyes are okay, don't you?

We're taking it easy as well, I'm just pottering around, doing some small jobs I've been putting off for some time. It's turned quite warm so I'll wait a bit before wandering out round the garden. OH has just done one of his exercise walks which he should have done this morning.

    Hmmm ... what's happening ... I'm sure I posted earlier ... must've forgotten to hit Post ... sorry folks!

@didyw Book yourself a check-up ... as you say, it's probably a migraine (you've been very busy lately) but best get it looked at.Ā Ā

Blame the absence of milk in my coffee ... OH has been to W'rose and normal service has been resumed ... meanwhile I've been making a slow cooked shoulder of lamb ragu to have with pappardelle this evening ... it smells amazing ...Ā  and it's using up tomatoes ... we have a lot of them ......
