    Morning all,

Sadly it sounds like a postcode lottery on hip operations? My recent MRI scan suggests that I will be buying a ticket at some point in the future :o

At least I've opted out of the driving licence lottery for the time being @Lizzie27. I'm hoping to stick with the original paper one for a while yet ;)

    Morning all.
I'm off to collect Hubby's death certificate this morning , then on to the bank, building society and undertakers.
Hopefully an afternoon of baking in the sun later.

Have you been told about the ‘Tell us Once’ service when you register a death @Hostafan1 ?  It doesn’t cover absolutely everything but does save a huge amount of time. Also get severalCertified Copies. You’ll need them. ((Hugs))

Morning everyone,  another poor night's sleep.
The snowman has melted for the last time.  RIP  Raymond Briggs. 😢

Going to be a scorcher here, and I will be spending it in an airless, stuffy CAB office 🥵.  Got my water spray and wet scarf packed and ready.

Then tonight is all about the “Secret history of vegetables” at our Garden Club.  Hope it will have cooled down a bit by 8pm.

So pleased to hear your OH has had his hip op @Lizzie27.  Hope he makes a speedy recovery and it gives him his mobility back.  It restores some of my faith in the system - it has been shaken badly whenever I hear of the appallingly way Mr @Busy-Lizzie has been treated.

    Hi all

Beautiful day, warm enough to justify not doing anything, just sitting and thinking.

Just sitting is good @punkdoc ... thinking ... hmm ... depends what about ...
Have you had R3 on this morning?  A very good selection a bit earlier on ... and a piece I didn't know and have fallen in love with ... do you know this?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF-IMQzd_Jo 😍

I didn't know it, @Dovefromabove, but I rather like it.
I have R6 on, very quietly as I contemplate the garden and formulate some plans, always torn between thinking, I may not have the strength to do that next year, versus, if I don't make plans, it's giving up.
Such a lovely day, about 25C, perfect for sitting.

I love Grease, it's recorded on my Humax box for OH who hasn't seen it.
    Is that VHS or Betamax?
Neither. It's the satellite box that I use for English TV. Grease was on quite recently so I just press a button and it records. You can watch something else while recording. You can go to the TV Guide and record things in advance - fine until there's a power cut!

Have to go, daughter needs help with lunch.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
