Root beer, Irn Bru, Dandelion & Burdock, Sarsparilla and Cream Soda are all yuck, yuck and yuckity yuck. Not many things I can't eat and drink but those all fall into that category.๐Ÿคข

Rubee - if you like Speckled Hen (made by Greene King - HQ just up the road in Bury) I would take a chocolate bet that you'd really like Adnams Bitter or Broadside. Both good, smooth flavoursome beers. Not so keen on the rather citrusy Ghost Ship but even that's a good refreshing beer on a hot day.

LB - which drain spades are you looking at? I really need something to get some more gloop out of the drain chamber otherwise it's just going to end up in the drain pipe and will then block up the soakaway everything drains into.

Evening everyone,ย  it's been a lovely sunny day, got everything I needed at the shops. Meant to ask @Ladybird4 did you find the beans in the SM and if so do you like them.
Weather here changed around sevenish and started raining. Really heavy for an hour, but then light rain and it's still coming down.ย ย
I don't like any sort of beer or larger,ย  looks very refreshing, butย  I just don't like the taste.ย

Night night everyone, sleep well and sweet dreamsย

Hello everybody.I am daring to poke my head above the parapet to see if you are all doing alright and enjoying your gardeners in the nice weather. Ours has cooled down lovely, just right for gardening. ย I have bought 60 new daffodils bulbs today and 23 grape hyacinth bulbs,as we took up lots when we're cut down the old weigela tree. We also have plans to move out love Hagley Hybrid clematis which means cutting away some grass, making good the soil, and then trying to lift it out without harming the roots or disturbing them too much. There are many changes a foot in the garden and many experiments taking place.... all in readiness for next year when will need toย be prepared for another heatwave, but first, it's 23's birthday onWednesday so we will enjoy that.
ย I hope everyone is well and those under par, are slowly improving now with weather has cooled down. I have missed posting so just trying this little post for now.

    Good morning everyone.

Hazel, I'm so glad to see you. First I wish Happy Birthday to 23 next Wednesday. You acquired very interesting bulbs. I'll go next Friday and try to find something new.

I have very good news. Despite forecast we had rain. When I came to cottage yesterday it was already raining, and it continued raining whole night. It was also very fresh, only 15โ„ƒ up in the hills. Here in the town is completely different story. Monday passe as every working day, and now I can begin to hate Monday again.

It's time for cup of tea and prepare for school. Have a nice day and see you later.

    A very good morning Ante.
Hazel! It is LOVELY to see you here again.I hope that you don't leave it so long next time. You are going to be busy in your garden over the next few weeks by the sound of it.
Ante I am so pleased to hear you have had some much longed for rain, but sorry you are back to Miserable Mondays! Where have the Summer holidays gone?
I woke up to Autumn this morning! After an evening and night of torrential rain, this morning there was a thick mist outside - slowly lifting now but as Rosie said yesterday, it feels like Autumn.
SGL I got those beans but haven't tried them yet. I will certainly let you know once I have.
T'Bird, I completely agree about the soft drinks you have mentioned - feel ill just reading the list. I am known in the family as 'Old Speckled Hen' for reasons I will not go into () but that is my very favourite beer. These are the drain spades I have been looking at:
I am looking for one that is lightweight - obviously - got to look after my back

    Morning everyone,ย
Hello Hazel @Songbird-2 so good to see you.ย  Hope you and OH are well. Happy birthday wishes to 23 for tomorrow. That's a lot of bulbs to plant, but will look stunning next Spring.
@Ante1 glad you have rain at last, your crops will be pleased too.ย
Looks very wet outside, it still raining this morning. I woke briefly during the night and heard rain against the window. The garden really needs it.
    Time for tea and toast.

Yet again, more horrendous news on TV this morning. I cannot get my head around a child of 9 being shot and killed. One of my great nieces, who shares her birthday with Ante, is going to be 9 this time so that news really impacted on me. I feel so sorry for the little girl's family and friends.

Good morning SGL and Ruby. I do hope it will soon be time for T'Bird to have some rain at last. I feel very selfish with all I've had.
