Morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow. Great Snoopy pic LB.Β Where are these months going, they seem to go in a flash. I've been awake for hours, gave up and have come downstairs for a cup of tea. Looks rather overcast this morning. We have rain forecast for today, hope it stays away till this afternoon, I want to pop out to the shops and get a few bits.
Good Morning LB & SGL and all to follow, white rabbits πππΒ It is shocking how fast the months are disappearing! Sounds like a good gardening day ahead for you LB, enjoy the weather π SGL Sorry to hear you were awake early, hope the rain holds off until you get home from the shops,Β We are away to Greece later this week so Iβm feeling the pressure of getting organised, another cuppa first though βοΈπ
Bit late but White rabbits White rabbits White rabbits πππ Oh goodness, forgot to say that, I was thinking it's gone too quick.Β Quite frightening isn't it @Ladybird4 Oops, i missed your Rabbits pic πΒ Β No haven't worn mg new top yet, but must do soon. Hope you get sunshine and can play in the garden. Morning Chive,Β hope you get everything organised so you can enjoy the few days before you go away. Is it just you and OH going or is your son going too.Β Need another cup of teaΒ
Good morning everyone . Itβs a lovely morning here .I am having a cup of tea with Bruno snuggled up on my knee .Lily I hope you get to the shops before it rains .Chive you will be feeling excited about your holiday to Greece .LB donβt work too hard in the garden.Β
Good morning Chive and Ruby. Aside from the happy news about The Lionesses on the news there is some grim stuff too. What on earth is going on in our world when a little nine year old girl gets stabbed to death in the street? There are no words.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I was also saddened to hear about the passing of Nichelle Nichols who played Uhura in Star Trek - one of my favourite programmes in my formative years. Such an icon.

Just awful, LB, I've just read that in the paper online.
How lovely @Chivetalking to go to Greece. Mainland or an island? By the sea? I hope you have a great time.
This morning I plan to prune the 2 big old apple trees in the veg garden area. Their branches are getting too low, hard to drive the tractor mower under them. Hardly any fruit, late frosts last year and this and the hail storm knocked off the few apples there were. I won't be pruning any higher than I need to though.
This afternoon I'm going to Leroy Merlin, a huge DIY place about half an hour away. I want a small shelving unit and 3 wall lights for the landing. One is on the blink and the other two are ugly, made of pottery that hardly lets any light through.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning Busy. I could do with pruning my crab apple back as it is well over my neighbour's garden (they don't mind as its at the bottom of my garden - and theirs and they love the blossom in the Spring). Its covered in fruit at the moment. Leroy Merlin sounds like a film actor! Hope you get the shelving and lights you want.
Chive, I did mean to add that I hope you have a FABULOUS trip to Greece. Like Busy I am wondering are you going to one of the islands or mainland? Get that packing list done and don't stress. Who is looking after Nel while you are away?
Ruby, Lily has been snugged up to me this morning. I had noticed yesterday that I had had a little visitor in the kitchen so I put down one of my humane mouse traps and sure enough there was the little culprit this morning. I took it down the garden and let it go in the field. Lily is useless! I will be checking on my air bricks today as that is where I think it got in but who knows.

It looks like today will be a cracker. Nice little harvest from the blueberry Bluecrop this morning. Not much left on the Draper but the Aurora has loads on ready to takeover when the Bluecrop is done. Definitely a success Β
Could well be a pruning, mowing kind of day after I've got some rudbeckia into the ground. Grown from free seed - another success Β
It is a dreadful state of affairs @Ladybird4 - that poor girl's family. It's enough to make you shut yourself in your home and never leave. I haven't seen anything about the suspect, but I'm sure that he will have a whole string of mental illnesses and explanatory labels attached to him. However, I'll stick to my out-dated, dinosaur opinion of the murdering nutter!
