Good Morning LB, Oh yes I do recall Lily having the same diagnosis now thank you, they get so stressed by the whole ordeal I don’t think that helps does it, but it hadn’t been mentioned before on our visits so I was concerned 😕
  • morning morning all.  LB great to have some extra light after your neighbour gave the Leylandiima trim.  Lily Alfie is having regular treats and his favourite food and often falls asleep on my lap.  I love him dearly.  Chive you enjoyed your long lunch with friends it will have done you good.   Damp weather today but holding out for more summer.  Have a good day everyone. P.s. hope you’re feeling better Hazel.  My pink roses are in full bloom although late flowering this year.  LB enjoy time with Bestie.

    Good morning everyone.

LB, have a nice time with Bestie, and wish her a lovely holiday. Hope you will have cake with tea.

Chive, have a lovely time with your Mum.

Very good new is that we had several heavy showers yesterday. I was at cottage and all my veggies are soaked, but drought took some casualties. Temperature is also pleasant so I slept well, first time in last five or six days. Little cat is still at vet. I had something else on my mind, but forgot it.

    Wish you all good day!

    Hello all.

I'm glad you had rain at last @Ante1.

Log man is coming with a big load this afternoon. I've been cutting branches on the trees up the drive with my battery chainsaw. The biggest job is taking them to the tip in the field, some dragged, some in the trailer. Last year the log man complained that they were getting too low and big for his trailer to pass and I've been meaning to do it for a while. It's just that it's hard work. Now I must clear up my gardening stuff in the barn to make room for the logs. Then more hard work stacking them. Thank goodness it's only 24° today, not 34°!

Hi folks, Back from sunny Wales (NOT).  Sunday we had really heavy rain all day. Mind you we donned waterproofs and armed with buckets and spades headed to the beach.  The boys couldn't care less about the weather and had a great time.  Monday was better and we took the boys to an outdoor play area and zoo.  It was really good value and we stayed all day.  Then on Tuesday we finally got a sunny day on the beach so the boys got to go in the sea, make sand boats, eat ice-cream and generally have a great time.  We drove home yesterday.  Must admit it was lovely to sleep in my own bed.
I have read back but can't remember a lot of it.
Hope your OH is feeling better Rubee you must have got a fright finding him like that.
Glad you finally had some rain Ante1 and hope your cat is improving.
I can remember that your OH was flying home BL so hope he arrived safely.
Glad your got the bins and VM sorted LB.
Sorry if I've missed anything important.
Have managed to spend a couple of hours in the garden this morning.  Have been very disappointed in my roses this year.  So much black spot and the hot weather hasn't been kind to them.  I'm hoping that I get a decent second flush.  Mind you the clems have done well.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks.

    Good afternoon all.
Chive, it was the first time that the Vet had noticed Lily's heart murmur as well. So, like you, I was very concerned.
Goodness me Busy, I did not know that you were a lumberjill as well as all the other busy things that you do. Take care as you don't injure yourself. You won't want to be laid up before your journey back to Norfolk.
Hello Yvie, welcome back. It does seem as though the holiday - despite the weather was enjoyed and it is the sort of happy memory that will stay with the boys. When we were very small Mum and Dad took us for a caravan holiday to a place caled Ingoldmells. It absolutely heaved it down all week and we had to wear wellies every day. To this day we can convulse one another with laughter just by saying -' Remember Ingoldmells.......' We had a very happy time though I'm not so sure about Mum and Dad!

    Love your rain dance LB!

Logs have been delivered but another load will be coming. It's my main source of heat and cooking in winter, though there are electric radiators and oven and a gas hob. Logs are much cheaper. Stacking from tomorrow morning, too hot now and I'm knackered anyway. Just done the SM shop.

I love a good log fire Busy. So nice and snuggly in the Winter. There is something very hypnotic about a real fire. Perhaps it is something atavistic in our makeup.

    Evening everyone,
Goodness @Busy-Lizzie you have  been a busy Lizzy  today. As @Ladybird4 says please be careful, especially  when moving the logs that have now been delivered.
@Ante1 so glad you have had rain at last. Do wish it would rain here, the grass is brown and I noticed a couple of plants are looking like they may die. I might give the front garden a good water with the hose later. Hope little cat is feeling better and can come home soon.
@Yviestevie good to see you, sorry the weather was a bit hit and miss, but sounds like you had a great holiday anyway.
OH did well at physio today. Have another appointment for next week
Minds gone blank, best get our meal ready. Just a snack type tea tonight, don't fancy a big meal.
See you later, enjoy your evening everyone.
