Chive - the BBQ sounds like fun. Am I correct in thinking the schools are still in for another week? The holidays come round quickly don't they.
Biglad - good to hear you're nearly done and can spend a but more time tending the estate.
Right - I must get on. Need to prep some Indonesian pork for dinner tomorrow. If I put it on to cook now it can chunter away for several hours today. It's one of those dishes that always tastes better if left for a day or two for the flavour to develop.
Then I shall go out and dig over the raised bed while it's in the shade - by which time the big front border will be in the shade and I can get in there and cutback and decide what I should water tonight. Plan to stop at lunch time and that will probably be the last of my gardening efforts (except for watering can duties) until at least Wednesday.
This afternoon will be spent reading....

I've been meaning to ask......how are everyone's Sweet peas this year.... mine are rubbish. They haven't grown as tall as usual and haven't had many flowers either. Everyone of my friends that has grown them have been the same. Very disappointing 😞
