I've tried numerous times too but no luck. Sometimes it says I don't have authority to do this, and now it's saying that usernames must have letters numbers, underscores etc. Any suggestions?
@Songbird-1 I expect you are using a phone. Doesn't show on a phone. If you click on the 3 little dots top right you can get to a laptop screen, but it's very small, have to widen it with your fingers. It says "desktop site".
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I had the permission problem over and over again so gave that up as a bad job so I changed my username instead. After that I tried again to add my location just to see, it let me do it with no problems.
It isn't particularly necessary to state your location after your User Name. If asking a question where the location is relevant, then you include it in the post. By the same token, if you are replying, a simple "I'm in ********** and this works for me" is often sufficient to begin the debate. We all know that whilst a General Location can help with whether you live North/South/East or West UK, the actual conditions even within a few miles can differ to a large degree. Then you have Inland/Coastal/Rural/Urban/City not to mention those Forum members who live in mainland Europe, USA, Australia. As with aspect and soil, what you like and what time/pets/children someone has all helps but that usually comes to the fore in those posts when specifically asked for.
