I was born and grew up in East London,  from what I remember we used to get extreme weathers,  it could be very hot then floods of rain that couldn’t get down the drains,  quite often really huge lightening and thunder storms,  I think now the weather patterns have equalled out, or is that just us in Devon,   Not much difference from winter to summer now.  Frosts until May.  June this year.

It is drier here this year than I have ever known it in 30 years. I normally expect the grass to turn into a dustbowl in late July, this year it was mid June. I am having a serious rethink about future planting in the garden.

And here. Trouble is, a few times over the last 20 years I've thought about putting in more seriously drought-tolerant plants "next spring", and then we've had a colder and wetter winter than normal which wouldn't suit a lot of xeriscape-type plants.

For the time being I'm just grateful for not being on meter.  I don't water the grass.  I only do pots, baskets and new planting.

I have tried to add my location several times but it is always refused. Just done it again and saved it. Posting this to see if it has worked.

No it hasn't. What am I doing wrong? I put where I live underneath a while ago. That's still there. I live in Dordogne, OH lives in South Norfolk so we live in both. My family is in France, his is in England.

Not sure @Busy-Lizzie. When I last edited my profile, as soon as I'd clicked Save it went live. But your location shows in your signature anyway so I wouldn't worry.
