Yes, hope all goes well @Fire. xx

On the subject of bras, I always wondered why anything above a D cup would need padding! It's just more excess to cart around.
Also, I remember hitting that 'certain age', and a male friend saying, "what's happened to your boobs? They used to be.. " (cue the rounded hands gesture and 'phwoar' expression). Totally insensitive, but true, and funny! Thanks 'mate'. 😄

Padding = more comfortable for me, and a smoother look. Seams, lace etc can show through tops and t-shirts, particularly summer-weight ones, as well as feeling irritating. Also helps to even things up if you're not quite symmetrical.

Ah... but we haven't moved on to the Y Fronts versus boxer shorts debate yet!  :D

There's no actual point to boxers is there? May as well just wear a little sarong. 😄

I was once ridiculed by three youngsters who were with me in a group who had gone to climb Mont Blanc and as we stripped down to gear up they all had a good laugh at the "old man in his Y Fronts" as they were all boxer boys. I think all youngsters today go for boxers. At least my two boys do... wouldn't be seen dead in "old mans underwear"

😄 It seems that the hybrid ones are the standard still - fitted, soft material which I assume gives a chap a bit more security than the other two. They're very comfy, I wore a pair of my OH's once.

There do seem to be a wide range of options these days.

I think that way back in the early days of this thread (originally it was about the virtues of not of going commando whilst on a building job) there was some discussion on pant support for men. Maybe boxers offer nothing but a bit of 'modesty covering' so it doesn't look so commando.

There were so many comics and sketches about Y fronts that maybe they seem more comic these days. Perhaps they never recovered from John Major.

Very different from when they were first invented in the 1930s. They became  "a symbol of masculinity and agility".
