Anyone brought any Bargain plants recently ?

Being someone who cant resist buying the neglected plants in the reduced section when out and about. So lets hear about your recent "Bargain Buys".
To kick things off yesterday I brought a pretty decent Anthurium, a good in bud Platycoden and a trailing houseplant . for the grand total of 30p from Wilko.

    @spudlig50 I love to head for the bargain bit at my local GC. They had some large pots of unusual pulmonarias last week half price but no takers. They had mildew but just needed a cut back to be fine. Think they were possibly pot bound so hadn't taken up the water and hated the strength of the sun. 
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I bought a Platycerium from Nottcutts on the way back from a work meeting... £1.50 and I can't see anything wrong with it! Let's hope it doesn't go the way of the last fern I kept as a houseplant... I'm learning that a lot of these ferns require a lot more light than I had imagined...

    I bought Nicola seed potatoes to fill a gap and when I got to the check out they were half price. Huh and I didn't even know. Lovely chits on them.

    I bught some iris half price in my local GC. They were a bit dehydrated when I took them out of their bags but since being put into a try of damp compost, have begun to plump up. Doubt if I will have any flower for a year or two, but I don't mind waiting.

    Picked up an Acer 'Orange Dream' for a pound this morning (B&M).
    Small but looks OK, I'll give it a try.

    12 years ago I bought a Wilko raspberry plant for a quid, not expecting much, but it's still going strong and giving plenty of fruit, and a sad looking, pale fargesia for a fiver from a car boot sale, which I only planted out 2 years ago - it's now 3 beautiful big specimens. 
    I also had some lovely sunflowers which I nicked out the bag of bird seed. 😁

    I live in hope of finding more 4ft tall Photinia for £1 each and Fatsia Spider Web for £3 from my local nursery.  Over the course of one weekend, I came home with well over £200 of large evergreen plants for around £25.  Frustratingly, they keep moving the clearance plants around the site and I get tempted by other things as I look for them.

    It was the end of last year but I got an 8-9ft mulberry tree for a tenner. It's a nice small growing 3x3m one with giant fruit which are starting to grow now.

    Three years ago I found a dwarf mulberry for £5.00. It did well the first year, last year it was decimated by the storms, this year it has been drowned by the incessant rain so is not looking brilliant. I am keeping my fingers crossed it will survive.

    I raided my local Morrisons and Wilko today. Came back with:

    4 little shrubs at £2 each from Morrisons: Lavatera, Escallonia, Cotoneaster, Gojiberry
    4 little shrubs at £3 each from Wilko: Ceanothus, Viburnum tinus, Azalea, Choisya ternata

    All in 9cm pots but around 1ft tall already with healthy growth.
