Good morning all. Cool and grey here but dry. Off to Belper in Derbyshire to cater a wedding today so hope we don’t get rain.
Looks like you are all busy enjoying the jubilee weekend let’s hope the Queen can join in today after a rest.
Enjoy your Saturday, I know how you feel it’s been like a Saturday here since Wednesday evening!

Morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow.
    😂🤣😂 LB  thank you 🤭
It's absolutely pouring down here and by the looks of the garden it's been raining for quite awhile. A very grey and dark morning.
Hope you've got nice weather LB.

SGL Sorry to hear you have a wet start today hopefully it’ll clear away, but otherwise have a nice relaxing day with OH,
Rubee I hope you have a dry day to get into the garden, how is OH ? I hope the pain killers are helping to keep him comfortable 🤗
Hazel I’m sure you will find something exciting to do with 23 & his sister on Monday, hope his other sister enjoys her time in Paris. Have a nice trip to the GC today,
Our road is having a street party this afternoon, I want to make a Victoria Sponge cake this morning to share, it’s supposed to be breezy here but dry 🍰☕️

    Good morning all.

I wish our street was having a party, I've never been to a street party.

We are going to the church Jubilee Tea Party this afternoon in the village where we were before this one, only about 10 minutes away. There will be a BBQ in the village hall of this village this evening. I may go but OH said he's not so keen on that. I think he's worries there won't be enough seating and people will be standing about eating BBQ burgers in rolls. He can't stand for long.

It's grey outside but should be better this afternoon.

Afternoon folks, was so looking forward to getting in the garden to plant out some of my treasures but it's cold, grey and starting to rain.  Instead I'm sitting on the sofa drinking tea and watching Silent Witness. :(

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome back Yvie. We have had a fair bit of weather like that whilst you were away.
Debs, I expect that you and your Fiancé will be happily tired after working at the wedding today.
Hazel, did you have a good trip to the GC and did you buy anything interesting? Your trip on Monday sounds absolutely perfect.
Chive I hope that you have had a lovely street party today. The weather has been nice here for a change as well as being in  the garden I have iced 2 dozen Jubilee buns which I made yesterday for tomorrow. I'll be distributing them. Sis-in Law is hoping to get out of hospital today she has had to have two more units of blood. I am still waiting to hear if she has actually arrived home.
Ruby it is good to hear that the stronger pain killers are helping your OH.
Busy, hope you have had a lovely time at the afternoon tea. Have you decided about the BBQ yet? Have you got a folding chair that your OH could take to perch on? It would be a shame if he was to miss out - if he would really like to go.

It was a lovely sunny afternoon at the church tea party but started getting chilly because of the wind at 5.30pm. Delicious and copious tea, sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese straws, shortbread, cakes and scones. I wore my dress.

Don't overdo it @Songbird-1. Good luck.
