Worked until 2am last night and started again at 7.30 - definitely no rest for the wicked This is week 10 of 14 - the end is coming into view  Just on my breakfast break.
Moved my car from one side of the drive to the other this morning - first time I've been in it for nearly 3 weeks and I struggled to get back out with my knee screaming at me!
Hope drainage guy appreciates the clear access he's got for his machinery!
Good afternoon all. BG engineer was here exactly 3 minutes. Great guy, it was just the boiler pressure hence the lightning fast visit. He sat outside in his van much longer - presumably doing the 'paperwork'! It was good to get hot water again as I've got a mound of plant pots that need washing out. The wind got up this afternoon and I had to scuttle around rescuing pots that had been blown over.
Biglad, I hope that your drainage is now in place and that your knee has forgiven you for making it operate your car.
Hazel, it must be lovely watching the star jasmine buds open and the fragrance will be intoxicating when they all open. Good news that you have got your appointment with the Dentist.
Busy, did you manage to get your new gardening gloves and the watering lance at the GC?

Glad you're sorted @Ladybird4. It's been breezy here too Â
Drainage guy has been and gone for the day - he dug a hole and then filled it in He's going to be here for the rest of the week at least. The knee definitely hasn't forgiven me - I was on my hands and knees talking to him Â
I think the big companies are ganging up on me! Just had a text from 'Emma at United Utilities'
Apparently they are working on a problem in my area so I may not have any water or low water pressure. They are working as hard as they can to get my taps flowing again. There's nothing for it people but I'll just have to drink gin! I'll go and check my taps.

Good afternoon .seen the dentist . She hasn’t repaired my tooth because I have to have two fillings .Those will be done a week on Friday .Bought a lovely old plate in the 20pence shop and a carved duck in another for £1-67 .Called at the bakery and purchased some yummy pastries . Hazel it’s good you got an earlyish appointment for the dentist .I hope your tooth can be fixed easily .
My energy company have responded to my latest, extremely polite missive. They are prepared to let me miss a month of paying my direct debit but won't change the amount of the DD going forward because, "it has to match with EAC". How very generous - I don't have to give them another £154 this month even though they owe me £350. My suggestion that their calculations MUST be wrong has been totally ignored. I don't wish to blow my own trumpet (oh well - go on then ) but I'm pretty good at maths. However, it doesn't take a genius to work out that if I keep paying them more than I use, I will be more and more in credit! If this carries on for ever, the outcome will never change no matter what they think my chuffing EAC is Â
LB ,we had a similar message from Yorkshire Water .So far the water hasn’t been turned off ,nor is the pressure any different to normal .But I think gin is a very good idea 😺.
Hi Ruby, well so far the water appears to be 'normal' so fingers crossed they have sorted whatever the problem was. I am signing out for now and I'll see you all tomorrow.
Enjoy your evenings.
