Lovely time in the garden . In for a cuppa and a sit down . Moved some perennial geraniums and planted six grown on plants . The wind took the label away .I will have to wait until they flower to recognise them .I don’t recognise the leaves . Anyway it will be a nice surprise when they flower .
OH ordered some Monarda and Delphiniums for me (plug plants ) . I haven’t grown Delphiniums before and haven’t had luck with Monardas. But I am looking forward to growing them .My garden is very small . Where am I going to put them ? The garden is full .

    Hello all.

I've been busy doing my French tax preparation. I don't actually have to fill out the very complicated forms as a nice French lady does it for me for a small fee. I have to send her all the details of my pensions, bank accounts in the UK, charities I've given to (the giver gets the tax relief in France), what I pay the odd job man and what I pay in employer's contribution to pension (gets tax relief).

The electrician came and changed the broken outside light for a new lantern that OH bought.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to meet @Dovefromabove for coffee. Then one of my brothers is coming for the night tomorrow as he has a job interview in Ipswich.

Hazel, I'm assuming (but not completely sure) that his daughter meant he hasn't seen a Doctor since his MRI scan. I've tried texting her but haven't received a reply. She did tell me that the signal in the hospital was not very good.
Hazel and SGL, the wind is blowing a hooley here at the moment and has been over the last two days.
Awwww SGL, I loved the sound of a chocolate chop!
Ruby, you will have some lovely surprises when your mystery plants flower. I have never had much luck with Delphiniums (slug fest!) or Monarda and I do love them both.
Crumbs Busy, having to do all that 'figuring' would do my head in.

It was more christmas tree than blue whale when he'd finished putting all the drainage 'arms' in @Ladybird4 ;)

Good progress today - we've got new grass!

    Good evening to all.

Biglad, nice progress in one day. Lovely garden.

It was hot day, but all in all quite pleasant. My friend called me and said that he will prepare my two field for potato planting at Saturday. So it means that I'll plant them at Monday. Huge job, but hope to finish it in one day.
I just found out that we will have flower fair next two day. That's the one which was canceled few weeks ago.
Now is time for tea and tv. One more day and it's weekend.

Evening all,  Didn't enjoy art class this morning as we are doing charcoal portraits and I hate handling charcoal, even in pencil form.  Picked the boys up from school and gave them tea before coming home.  It's turned grey and windy here, not nice at all.  Nothing planned this weekend so looking forward to pottering in the garden in the weather holds.
Have been on to Dr Fothergills today regarding a damaged delivery of begonias that arrived about a month ago.  Sent them two emails complaining and didn't get a reply to either so I phoned just over a week ago.  The guy on the end of the phone said they had responded to both emails.  I said they hadn't arrived, and that I had even checked the spam.  He checked that he had the right email address and I explained that their despatch dept and advertising dept had the correct email address because I received a lot of sales emails from them and I got the notification of delivery.  He said he would contact the appropriate people and get them to phone me within two working days and he would mark it urgent.  He also explained that I wasn't receiving their emails.  A week later and still no contact from them so I phoned again today the guy on the end of the phone explained that they had emailed me with an offer to replace my plug plants with garden ready and they would arrive at the end of the month.  I said, why have they emailed yet again when they have been told the email they are using isn't working.  He sort of went quiet and said Oh I can see that would be a problem.  Sometimes I just give up.

Gosh, what a difference @Biglad! Grass can make a garden look really nice. I'm not so keen on gardens without lawns.

I've done some weeding in the front and planted 12 lobelias.

Biglad, that is looking brilliant now. Just have to keep it well watered until it roots and knits in.
Ante, what a kind friend to help you with that job. Something to look forward to - even though its hard work - on Monday.
Yvie, that sort of incompetence gets you this week's big scream:

Seriously, what a flipping shambles that firm sounds to be. Very poor Customer Service - I'll avoid them!

Evening all. We've moved up to Bad Rothenfeld a lovely little spa town with the biggest gradierwerk in the world. I'll post some pics tomorrow and remind you what one of those is if you like.

Meanwhile - good job on the lawn Big Lad, helpful friend Ante and how frustrating for Yvie.

Now - can anybody help me? Please? Triple please? This maybe for you  @Dovefromabove  or @Busy-Lizzie  or @Ante1 .

OH purchased some marinaded meat fron the butcher's counter for me to BBQ to have with salad tomorrow. He thought he was buying lamb but the lady said 'No' and told him what it was. He didn't understand but bought it anyway🫣🙄

On the packaging it says "Kamm steak" which when put into Google translate comes up with "Comb meat". Anybody any idea what that is? All references on Google seem to come up with Eastern Euro language recipes. I'm wondering if it's a bit like bavette. Sincerely hope it isn't camel or horse meat...🤣

Whatever the marinade is it's stinking the van out every time the fridge is opened and I need to know how best to cook it. At worst we'll have salad / no meat for dinner which isn't the end of the world and is another life adventure!

Moral of this story - always do food shopping yourself!🤣
