Evening all. Another interesting travel description T'Bird. You know, you may be lucky and have had a bit of rain before you come home tomorrow.
Another lovely day for you Busy. Love the sound of a hosta called Orange Marmalade.
Chive have you enjoyed having the day to yourself today - with Nel of course? Having a cold beer sounds wonderful.
I rang Jack just on the off chance he was home but I got his daughter. She was seeing to Kitty. He is still in hospital. One intern thought he might have a hairline fracture on his elbow but the boss man wasn't in today so they are having to keep Jack in one more night at least until he is seen by the specialist tomorrow. The next thing his daughter told me was rather worrying. Apparently Jack had signed a DNR (Ante = Do Not Resuscitate) form without even realising what he was signing! He told his daughter he thought it was something relating to the valuables he has with him.
I'm sure that they are not supposed to give forms like that to people without involving next of kin. That is something his daughter is going to try and find out about tomorrow. There is no way that Jack is at that stage yet

    Evening,
LB It was a very quiet day for me, that was shocking news about Jack I hope this can be rectified with the hospital tomorrow. I hope you sleep well Goodnight,
Thank you Rubee & Bluebells Alfie is very close in age, hope he is leaving the curtains alone now never too old for mischief 😼
Signing out for the night, hope you all have a good nights rest.

  • LB love the Woodstock cartoon very amusing.  Hazel glad to hear you can spend time with mum in good spirits.  She will be so pleased to see you.  I hope things can be sorted out with regard to Jack.  Chive it must have been quiet for you.  I hope you enjoyed time with Nel and we’re able to have a relaxing day.  Alfie is very wilful.  I dozed off, had the munchies and had some cereal and just made a cup of tea.  Hazel maybe you could get some photos, videos of places mum likes to look through or places you’ve been, in the comfort of home, pictures of family.

Good morning RosieBB and all to arrive soon. I watched the special Queen's Jubilee Celebration - The Royal Windsor Horse Show - last night and it was a joyous 2+ hours of watching. She seemed to be loving every minute of it but looked a little sad when the Duke was mentioned and she watched their Granddaughter, Louise, driving his carriage in the arena. It was a refreshing change from much of the dross we are subjected to now on TV.

Good to see you Hazel but sorry to hear about your Mum struggling. I'm sure that she was happy to see you both.
I tried to see the lunar eclipse this morning but sadly the skies were too overcast and there are signs that it has rained in the night. I need to make a SM dash this morning - almost out of cat food and that will never do.
    Ante - smile!

  • Morning LB and all.  I’ve had to put a second food bowl out for Alfie as he started throwing up when his food was low.  It seems to have done the trick.  Enjoy early morning shopping.

Hello all … hope all are well (or at least improving) we’ve had a hectic weekend … a visit down to Wonky in Ipswich for a catch-up and swapping plants … then yesterday we planted an asparagus bed, then planted the runner beans, did lots of hoeing, feeding and watering … then I cut back the big shrubby salvias in the front garden. I have to do them
late because it’s a frost pocket. We had hoped to get to the Plant Fair in the afternoon but by the time we’d got finished in the garden I was bushed and fell asleep on the sofa 🥴. I’m glad we got things done cos we’ve had overnight rain which is just what was needed.

    Sounds like a great trip @Topbird 😎
