Iām sitting here with a cold nose. Grrr. Iāve covered everything else but canāt do anything about the nose. Ā Almost time for the afternoon news, so the Tele will be going on soon.Ā
Morning everyone,Ā we are doing a walk today ,a guided walk round historic Lambeth.Ā "All together now" . No doubt I won't be able to get that tune out of my head for a while.š
Morning all. Glorious morning here earlier on but now looking a bit cloudy. Hope your nose is feeling a bit warmer @PatE, is there something of special interest on the TV this morning for you? Had my breakfast, dogs and cat now fed but the birds are now shouting for me to fill their feeders, no peace for the wicked round here in the mornings. Busy day as daughter and young grandson off back to family in Sussex for the next 6 days, so things to be done to make life easier for me while they are away. They are taking 2 of the dogs with them but I will keep one young pup here as she is just having her first season and it is not good policy to send her to someone else's house. hope sheĀ with just me for company bless her. Hope you all have a good day.

I use a lovely cotton facemask when I'm cutting the grass when it's cold.
Glad you are feeling a bit better @punkdoc.Ā And yes, a lovely day for a walk @Dovefromabove.Ā Hosta's facemask solution sounds good for your cold nose @Pat E - who knew those things would have an afterlife? I've been enjoying seeing the verbascums at Chelsea @AuntyRach.Ā I had a lovely one last year that went so well with an astrantia.Ā Both have come back up this year but shadows of their last-year selves which looked like this:Ā Ā
We had a marvellous walk along footpaths hereĀ https://www.highashfarm.com/Ā the amount of wildlife we saw was amazing ⦠and I say that as a country girl used to very rural areas.Ā
One buzzard leaving a nest ⦠three circling high above us. A jackdaw leaving a nestbox, a coaltit with a beak full of green caterpillars waiting for us to move on before he went into the hole in the ash tree, several skylarks singing high above a meadow, lots of male yellow-hammers singing as we walked along a hedgerow, fields full of wildflowers ⦠I could go on and on ⦠Iām exhausted but very happy. Itās such a good place to be.Ā
A field full of Ox-eye daisies and Sanfoin.Ā
