@peteS ..thanks for your question... this is the picture, and the plant is an ornamental tree - Sorbus vilmorinii.. very suitable for small gardens, narrow spaces..
Phlox 'Amethyst'.. Phlox 'Purple Flame'.. Monarda 'Beauty of Cobham'... I find the flowers quite amusing.. Achnatherum calamagrostis.. growing in too rich soil, and not enough sun..[flops].. but still quite graceful I think.. Hydrangea 'Libelle', is a rather nice white lacecap... ..meadow-y.. Geranium pratense, Anthemis, Alonsoa .. I find seedling Hypericums very useful for odd corners.. Two of the most pungent of the English Lavenders... No. 9 on the left [lighter, mauve].. 'Maillette' on the right [darker, longer flowering]
Nemesia 'Easter Bonnet', the most fragrant nemesia I've ever had. I've had it for 4 years and it either mutated on me or self-seeded, I know have at least 3 distinctly different colours plus the original one. I should start to propagate the new ones... Penstemon 'Arabesque red', Scabious 'Butterfly Blue' Martagon lily... I need to get rid of this because of the risks to the cat but it's very pretty. Jasione laevis 'Blaulicht' I bought this from The Secret Gardening Club together with Phyteuma scheuchzeri. Jasione got refunded for being out of stock, so I thought I had Phyteuma. But now checking the pictures, I quite obviously have Jasione.
Hi @Marlorena, I noticed you have a few Alonsoa in your garden and was wondering, do they come back every year? only I bought one a few years ago (scarlet coloured) and I remember when I bought it the assistant saying they were a bit fragile and it might not come back the following year and I haven't seen it since!, although it was lovely.
@Meomye ..it will depend where you are and what winter you get. This past mild winter I had one that remained without dieback, but normally, no, not in my part of east anglia.. they're so easy to grow from seed sown in March, they're in flower by June, so I think that's the best way.. They are Tender Perennials...
