Gaura 'Pink Dwarf'.. I love this foliage colour.. these develop into quite good size shrubby plants by midsummer..

..windy and very dry in East Anglia.. beginning to look like a drought situation..

I'm a bit concerned about this plant that I've been nuturing, if anyone knows what it is, Celandine-y?? I feel I should get rid of it..

..mostly leaves from me today..

Alcea nudiflora.. a rare streambank Hollyhock from Tajikistan and neighbouring countries.. just looks like any other at this stage.. it should flower this year..

I got this Peony cheap as it was so small.. it's taken a few years to reach flowering size so I'm delighted to see a couple of buds on Peony 'Buckeye Belle'.. such lovely foliage..

I like the look of your Geranium Matt Frei @Marlorena. Does it flower from June to August as claimed by some suppliers? I'm looking for a long flowering geranium to provide low ground cover in an east facing border that gets early morning sun for up to three hours and is then in light shade for the rest of the day. Would these conditions be suitable do you think?

heya... Yes that's not a problem, mine are not in full sun and shaded somewhat under a rose..

My plants flower longer than stated there, I would say May-November actually, April this season.
Here's photo evidence of it late flowering.. just as the foliage starts to turn.. I think it's at its best May to Aug though..

..oh thanks, yes you're right it does, I hadn't thought of that.. I used to grow Geum borisii, so I wonder if it's seeded.. I hope it is, I don't want to pull it up for no good reason.. I'll wait until it flowers, thanks so much..

..this has popped up which I found in the same pot with a perennial of a different type. I think it might be a Sanguisorba, but I'm not sure..

Corynephorus 'Spiky Blue'.. I've just planted this rather insignificant looking grass, that looks more like a weed.. however I like the reddening older leaves.. the foliage turns bluey/grey and flowers later..
