Lovely photo @Pat E - it would make a great painting.
We don't disparage Emmets or Grockles here in East Suffolk - we welcome visitors as they are so important to our local economy. But the second-homers - not so keen on them, pushing up house prices and leaving our towns and villages empty in the winter.
Not getting much gardening done at the moment, even though the weather is so lovely. But yesterday managed to pot up the 8 delospermas I bought as a job lot (all different varieties) so am looking forward to some jewel-like colours later on. Watered in but won't water again and they are in the really sunny bit outside the kitchen. The tomatoes will be going in, in pots, behind them once they've grown on a bit.

Tackling the veg plot this weekend. It's a mess of broken fences and net frames from the storms in February, and consequently very weedy. I've looked at it a few times in the last month but there's so much to do, I couldn't get motivated. But with 4 days of usable weather, time to deal with it, get seeds started and hopefully then feel a bit more in control

Sadly we were less righteous in the New Forest 😈. But then we also had a massive oil refinery that provided employment for thousands - including both my parents, and those of 75% of my classmates. Didn’t stop us moaning about the blot on the landscape though, or the smells, or the occasional showering of ashy powder 😵💫……

However, can’t complain - they kept me gainfully employed during all my Uni holidays 💰
