Hello all ... hope you're all enjoying the Easter weekend ... we're quite busy here getting things ready to leave for a few days next week ... so many seedlings popping up ... hopefuly they'll be out of the propagator in a couple of days and safe to leave on their own 🀞

    Happy Easter everyone!

Another warm and sunny day so may do a little outside later. First I need to photograph and put some nearly new curtains up for sale on our local website. Bought the wrong size by mistake and tried to make them fit but - after about 6 weeks of thinking they looked like squatters' or students' curtains (ie stretched tight and don't quite meet in the middle) - I gave in and bought the next size up. They weren't expensive so hopefully somebody can find a home for the original pair.

Just had somebody round to collect the last water butt. Had 3 very large water butts which were useful when I had a veg patch out front but I haven't used 2 of them for years. The third is in the back garden in regular use. Sell those 2 biggies and buy a small slimline one to go down the side of the house. That should work.Β

This afternoon we're off to the cinema to see Operation Mincemeat - looking forward to that. May take a sneaky pac of mini eggs with meπŸ˜‰

Chive thank you for your kind comments about my woodland border. It looks pretty at this time of year but not so much when it's very dry and completely shaded by the huge ash tree and the mature hedge.Β

Rubee - super fountain - very pretty.

LB - enjoy your family day

SGL - enjoy spending time with the little people. If there are any eggs left over I think that Al needs a workout.

Just popping back in before poppet3 arrives.

Love the snoopy gif @Ladybird4 that was me yesterday for the egg hunt for Poppets  1 & 2 😁  we had a lovely day in the garden and they enjoyed hunting for eggs and other little goodies.
Today our little whirlwind is arriving πŸ˜‚ a good boy with bundles of energy.Β Β
Glad you had a good day with your mum @Chivetalking.
@Songbird-1 hope son and brother are feeling better. Hope too that you and OH are still well.
@Rubee love your water fountain. Is it plug in as it works when it's dark. Would love one of those.Β
@debs64 have fun in the garden. Love the Easter verse.
@bluebellsintherain hope you get better weather today, its been quite hot here.Β
@Ante1 hope your weather improves too. Enjoy your Easter break.
@Topbird lovely photos of your woodland border. I wondered where all my plant markers went 🀣 didn't think of the birds taking them.
Not sure if there will be any eggs left, but there's other chocolate bars and hot cross buns that Al could carry down the tunnel πŸ˜‰
    Minds gone blank, sorry.Β
Have a lovely day everyone 🐣🐰🐣🐰🐣

Lily the fountain and it’s lights are all solar powered no cables . Bought it on the big river site . A little more expensive than the standard solar fountains but worth it .

    Hello all. Happy Easter.Β  Β

The garden was bathed in moonlight last night, had to get up 3 times for the loo.

We went to church, met friends and the children of friends who had come to stay with them.

I'm wearing a skirt, haven't worn one for ages. Will change into usual jeans as there is more gardening to do and it's another lovely day.

Good afternoon everyone. Hasn't it been a marvellous day today? Glorious weather for visiting or gardening or whatever took your fancy.
Ruby, I hope that you managed to get your clemmies planted out.
Debs, great excitement about your new boiler on Friday. I am sure that baby sitting Thomas will be a joy tonight. Don't be keeping him awake just so's you can play with him though! Thank you for that beautiful bit of prose about Easter. I bet we could all could empathise with some of those views. Not gingham for me - reminds me of my school uniform and definitely not pastel manicures - in your face!
T'Bird, I am sure that you will get a buyer for your curtains. I have two large water butts and one half size one and I use the rain water for all my pots, troughs and indoor plants - especially the orchids. Bet you enjoyed the film! I remember watching the original - The Man Who Never Was - and thinking it was an incredible idea.
Busy, it was a full Pink New Moon last night and it should be visible again tonight and tomorrow night. It looked gorgeous in the sky here.
Hope all is ok in the Hazel household. Not seen her here today yet. Bet she's been in her garden.
