The condition affects the whole of the right side of his body. It also impacts on his intestines. At one time when he was small doctors were considering amputating one of his legs.
Perhaps he should have made a bigger issue of it for Strictly so the public understood why he was struggling a bit … but the effects of the condition also made him shy and a bit hesitant to reveal so much personal stuff.

Then he has a disability and the Beeb hasn't been shy about enabling such folk on Strictly and showing that, with help and encouragement, everyone can aspire to achieve and not be limited by other peoples' low expectations so yes, he and the Beeb should have made it clearer. On the other hand, it wouldn't be fair to keep him in with a sympathy vote when he clearly wasn't doing as well as others.
That said, I didn't warm to his personality so he won't be missed on Strictly.

I have to say that l didn't consider last night's show a classic. The dances were shoehorned in to the music with predictable results. I think most of the professionals and any additional choreographers did the best they could, but Jade and Karen's Charleston to "Let's do it (The ballard of Barry and Freda)" was one of the worst things l've ever seen (and heard). Heaven knows what Victoria Wood would have said.
In my personal opinion the weakest dances were in the bottom two. Apparently Molly's professional partner hadn't danced that style before, so they were both learning it and l think that came across. He looked as uncertain as she did, especially on Saturday night . As for Jayde and Karen, it did improve slightly, but l think they both knew they were on a hiding to nothing.
I suspect that Tony Adams will leave next week, in spite of Katya's best efforts. She really has turned his attitude around, the psychology she uses is very interesting (she was talking about it on It Takes Two). Added to which, next week is Halloween which means the make-up and costume departments go beserk, and yet again the dances are shoehorned in to the music. Should be interesting 😁.
Jayde and Karen's dance didn't work for me at all.
Nor did Tony and Katya's. He danced the cha cha beyond badly and the choreography was a mess with far too much thrown in to "match" the sporty theme tune. Hope he goes next week.

The right couple went tonight.
