It’s been a very stress filled week, but ended well and I was able to spend a lot of time today outside. Everything’s looking so lovely at the moment and the garden was filled with bees - a greater variety of bees than I’ve ever seen here before. Several different bumbles, honey bees and various solitary bees too.
There were four different bees in or on the bee hotel when I checked it this morning.

New basal growth from Eustacia Vye - which is great! She needs them.
Thanks @newbie77 - the neighbour who was lined up to help me has just now got covid, so I will be a tad more manic than I was hoping. The weather is looking good. The plan and prep has all given me a kick in the butt to finish jobs I was procastinating on for ages. As I had hoped. It's all looking very different at the moment and it feels much more 'organised' and purposeful than ever before, more spacious and feels more calming. I don't have 1000 things growing on in pots. In the covid years the garden felt a bit chaotic, with lots of experimenting going on - and now it has settled. Decisions made. 😊
If we get some sun next week, I will make a little of 'end of spring' vid to share.
Pirouette.. I am a sucker for double tones@Marlorena
@edhelka Ebbtide's colour is difficult to capture in full sun.. That greyish-purple look will be better captured on a cloudy day..
edit- Thanks all for the B'day month temptations It's next month and I already blew my money on a family trip.. See you all after a week.. Wishing everyone a happy 'Jubilee week'..

I think I have to disagree. Sun makes the colour jewel-like. In shade, it can look slightly sad. Also, it isn't greyish when freshly open, it only gets grayish as the blooms age. This a photo from last year, which shows different stages and at least on my screen, the colours are spot on. And my favourite photos of this rose (also last year). I am not sure what the light was when I took them, probably neither direct sun nor shade. They are also slightly cooler than they should be (my camera colours are on the cooler side, I usually adjust it but not always). When it comes to comparison to 'Mundstead Wood', I like the MW colour more when it is dark but not when it goes pinkish. My favourite purples for colour are 'Reine de Violettes' (true violet with hints of pink but it goes pink in warmer climates) and 'The Prince'. 'Purple Lodge' is also lovely.

Charlotte fully open.
The biggest flower among the DA roses I have in my garden is Golden Celebration; flowers as big as the✋. Among HT, it is Dame de Coeur.
