I just checked to see what DA call my rose as it has several names. 'Old Blush China' according to DA. I 'train' it so that it flowers higher, above the perennials at its feet, but as I get older I am trying to dissuade it from inspecting the gutters! It's a low roofline though. I call it my 'First and Last' as it is always first to bloom and can carry flowers into December. It's a south facing wall but the Fuji cherry shades it a bit on one side.
Newbie your garden looks like it's run by professionals!
My Style / Fragrant order came. Tranquility and the standard looks good, but Tess, it's completely wobbly at the base of the stem, huge gaping hole there. Doesn't appear to be new damage or done in transit eithe but unsure of cause. Have emailed them, hope their customer service is as good as DA's.
That looks like a nasty break on Tess @pandakoalagirl49lS9c8QR_ difficult to prune out cleanly right on the graft there, hopefully you will get a good response from Styles.
Fabulous @Woodgreen! I’ve gotten into chinas and teas recently, my Cramoisi Superieur has it’s first bud (second after Ducher) but it’s still really cold here so neither may amount to anything.
I’m thrilled that my replacement Mutabilis has made it through the winter, unlike the previous one. This time I planted straight in the ground rather than growing on in a pot and cloched it during the weeks long freezes to -7. Surrounded by spent flowers blown in from the wild plum in the verge outside:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@pandakoalagirl49lS9c8QR_ ..that's a shame about the rose, hopefully they'll sort that out for you, they're always very nice on the phone..  standard looks really good.. love the way doggie is having a nose around there...
@Nollie ..great about your 'Mutabilis'... I won't feel so lonely with mine now..
@Fire your rose arches are going to be fabulous this year..
@newbie77 ... you have some really good shrubs of all kinds..
You’re roses must have many twins, triplets, quadruplets.. around by now @Marlorena. I see you are also enabling on a new perennial thread too, naughty M 😆Â
