Thanks @pitter-patter, I've had them for years to be honest, I just tuck them away when the daffs go over. This one I think is Lemon Silk.
I look forward to seeing your Golden Gate, I love that Rose and its wafty scent. Smashing little box of hyacinth too, the blue looks great with the grey.
I stuck two prunings into the ground last year and they seem to have taken. Do I remember rightly that I should now dig them up and pot them on, or is it too late now?
Do you mean that they’ve been in the ground a full year? If so, yes you can dig them up and pot them. It’s not too late, now’s a good time.
Very pretty pot of daffodils, @Victoria Sponge, even better close up. One sneaky pink hyacinth has managed to infiltrate in the box, I’m not sure how did that happen.
Thanks @Mr Vine Eye, I'll try and do that tomorrow.
@Victoria Sponge - good luck with the washing line post but I think you'll find it's encased in a large lump of concrete! I once tried to remove my mum's with a sledge hammer, my brothers were laughing at my efforts but stopped when I managed to hit my leg with all my weight behind it. Ended up in A & E with a suspected blood clot. Might be a lot easier to paint it black and twine a clematis around it.
I've started clearing the area around Kew Gardens and Arthur Bell (pictured) must remember to take the rose food with me next time.
Here's some photos of the pond and our tadpoles. Cleared a lot of algae out yesterday. Son and I fishing it out with bamboo canes. Can see it next to the pebble beach.
..I suppose the tadpoles are sheltering under the ice today? we have a severe frost this morning, just when the Magnolias are coming out. It happens every year, they get spoiled so easily.. All over the roses too.. looks nice though..
I know I was thinking about them on the drive to work. But it wasn't quite as cold in my town as on the drive. So hopefully the pond will be fine. It'll thaw quickly if not anyway.
