Morning all. A nice sunny one but not much chance of gardening. Phone calls to make, emails to write and bills to pay this morning then a much anticipated hair cut & hair ย colour session this afternoon, followed by a trip to the library and the pharmacy on the way home. Maybe tomorrow....

@Songbird-1 - up to you if you want to change your name although your current one is rather nice. Seeings as we all tend to call you Hazel anyway you could just go back to that. Or you could go a bit posher and be 'Corylus' or how about 'Catkin'? ....

...or does Catkin sound too much like a female conquest in a James Bond movie?๐Ÿค”๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿคฃ

Good morning Rubee, Hazel, Busy & Topbird,
Rubee I am well now thank you all traces of the virus gone, I hope your OH is still improving after the injections and the dressings to his legs,
Hope you get your milk ok SGL so you can get back to your garden,ย
Hazel I did think what if you reversed your name to birdsong for a change, but I do like Topbirds suggestions ๐Ÿ˜Š great news about OHs tomatoes ๐Ÿ…ย
Busy I hope Adam doesnโ€™t present you with any unwelcome surprises today ๐Ÿคข
Topbird I hope you can get those tasks out of the way to enjoy a little free time later, the haircut & colour is something to look forward to,ย
Iโ€™ve painted the side gate itโ€™s just a wooden panel gate which needed refreshing and pushed the sucky thing round indoors. Time for a quick cuppa then duty beckons, have a nice afternoon everyone.ย

I'm a stick in the mud, maybe, Hazel. I place the furniture how I like to start with then I leave it. I would feel uncomfortable and unsettled if it changed. When I want a change of scene I go out to visit somewhere,ย  find a new walk,ย  go to the sea etc. But home stays home, familiar.

Hazel I have been wondering how I could change my sitting room round . But in such a small room it is difficult. I can understand how Busy feels though .Very busy day so far .Doctors visit for OH . He has to have another course of antibiotics apart from that his legs are looking better ,not quite as swollen .Did a Masda shop. When we got home we found Rosie fast asleep with the cats . Did a pile of flattening with the hot thing. Now a bit of me time ,reading my book .Enjoy the rest of your day folks .

Adam was tired today, slept for 2 hrs this afternoon. Then we went for a walk. He laughed at the geese and turkeys in a field.

I'm pleased for you both, @Rubee that your OH's legs are less swollen. Do they hurt him when they are swollen?

    Afternoon everyone,
It's been a beautiful sunny day and warmer too. Been out in the garden and have done more weeding. Also pulled up next doors ivy that had started to creep in again ๐Ÿ™„
@Songbird-1 I used to change the rooms round too, especially in our last house.ย  But haven't done it for awhile, the only room I change around now is the conservatory.ย ย
I like the name Birdsong too.....had forgotten the name Biker till you mentioned it.ย  Catkin and Corylus are nice names too.ย
@Chivetalking got the milk and then played in the garden. Sounds like you've been busy painting and unmentionables ๐Ÿ˜‰
@Rubee glad to hear OH legs are not as swollen. Hope the antibiotics work well.ย
@bluebellsintherain hope you feel rested after your snooze.
@Busy-Lizzie glad you had a lovely day with little Adam, they are so cute at that age ๐Ÿ˜
Time for a cup of tea โ˜•

Thank you Busy and Hazel .Busy ,when OHs legs become really swollen they are very painful .Unfortunately the problem is genetic. Both of his brothers and his mother had the same condition.
I have suggested to Rosie that she buys a tallish foot stool so she can put her feet up when she sits down.I have been told itโ€™s a very good thing to do. I always put my feet up when I sit down .I am seventy eight ,I havenโ€™t got any varicose veinโ€™s.
Lily time in the garden is so uplifting isnโ€™t it ,a real tonic ?ย

It's funny how we're all different isn't it? I fall squarely between Hazel and BL.

Somethings I can't stand to have messed around and other things I like a little regular reorganisation to freshen things up.

I can spend days (weeks / months!) getting a new room or cupboards 'right' but eventually things just click and it's obvious that's how things should be. That's then how they tend to stay with only minor alterations until we have something mega done - like the new bifold doors in the sitting room. Don't really want an armchair in the way of the view and path into the garden - but could still use the extra chair in the room. Still haven't worked out the best place to put it - can't even make it work in another room. A more compact tub style chair would work but not sure I can persuade OH we need one!

@Topbird I'm a bit like that too, some things don't get moved at all ๐Ÿ˜‚.....well except for dusting/cleaning ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿคซย  I do often change the ornaments or family framed photos around so the 'displays' make the room look fresh/different.ย  When we decorated the bedrooms and had new carpets, I changed them around. But don't move furniture around in rooms anymore. Except as I mentioned, the conservatory.ย
I'm sure you can encourage your OH he needs a tub chair Topbird ๐Ÿ˜‰

@star gaze lily - I'll wait until he wants to spend some serious money on karting or his motorbike. I find that's often the best time to tell him that I'd like an inessential household item. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I enjoy reorganising books and ornaments. Not pictures though - they're all different sizes and the hooks are in just the right place to keep them all centred the same distance from the coving and equally spaced along the walls.

I'm quite OCD when it comes to pictures - can't bear to see one 'sloightly on the huh'. Do you all use that word too or is it a purely Norfolk / Suffolk term? ย (Ante = not level or a bit off-centre)ย
