Ante I hope Mirkos appetite returns very soon and is back to his usual self. A chilly night. Biglad take care with your raaf duties, don’t work too hard.
Good morning all. Very tired after a long busy day but the wedding went well and so did hog roast. We got home at midnight so lazy day today. Shepherds pie for lunch and an afternoon on the sofa.
Dry here now but windy and showers forecast later.

Theo will miss your brother, but it will be great for him to have some little people company, Busy Pleased you made it safely home and your key worked in the shutter 😅 Hope you can get the laptop sorted out now, enjoy babysitting, SGL Glad you had a nice time with your nephew, how kind of him to bring you a bouquet of flowers, Ante I hope Murko is ok, I hope he feels better for the antibiotics & syrup and finds his appetite returns soon, Biglad Nice to see you enjoy a leisurely day, it sounds exhausting what you’ve been doing, Janet I’m glad your cellar is done and hopefully all the garden equipment is safely stored away again, next project lined up 😊 Hazel So lovely to hear your mum is having a laugh with you on the phone, it gives you such pleasure to share those times. I hope your Neliy Moser makes a good come back, Bluebells I love haddock, I bet it was really tasty cooked in your new air fryer 😋 Rubee Nice to hear you had a chance to get into the garden yesterday and do some planting, Yvie I hope you have a nice visit to firstborns and seeing your granddaughters today, hope they are doing well, Debs I’m glad the wedding catering went well yesterday, that must be tiring enjoy a lazy day today, Topbird Good news on the fence, much better to have it repaired especially now your plants are starting to grow back, Nice to see you Pauline, I hope you are keeping well, I managed some tidying out front yesterday I’m hoping to cut the grass before the showers, have a lovely day everyone.
Good morning. @star gaze lily hi! Yes, A friend sent me a link to a jessica valant pilates for beginners and I've been trying several videos. They are easy to do and follow, but the trouble with me is being disciplined enough about it to do it on a regular basis. It's a bit gloomy weatherwise here, but I've just watched Monty and GW and that has inspired me to do something today. Happy gardening to you all!
Morning all. It was raining when I woke up but the sun has come out now - may go and prune the last 3 roses and tidy up behind the garage today. Two small jobs easily abandoned if it's too cold and / or wet. Failing that I could start on sorting out all the 'stuff' that's come out of the m/home. The dining room is full of it....
Ante - hope Mirko is ok and makes a speedy recovery. It sounds cold where you are🥶
BL - sorry to hear your laptop is playing up. It can often be a power related issue as LB suggests. If you're uncomfortable removing the battery (although it will be ok if you watch some You Tube videos first as LB suggests) then, at the very least, I would go through a full cycle of completely disconnecting it from power for 10 minutes. Then connecting and leaving until it's fully charged, then disconnecting it again. Reconnect and try to reboot.
Also Google "Unable to reboot (name & model of laptop)". There will probably be quite a few suggestions to get it working again. Bit of a pain if you have to rely on a phone for searching the internet though - can you borrow something else?
If you're away babysitting away and you take the laptop with you to try to sort it - make sure you take along any recovery discs and any written instructions if it's an older model. There may be suggestions on how to reboot it in a safe mode and / or use a recovery disc.
If you tell us which make / model / year etc it is we may be able to look for you if that helps🙂
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Our NDN moved in last year. Maybe I should have introduced them to their new neighbours on the other side. "This is Numpty and Numpty, who will ring the police to report you in the near future for no good reason." Second thoughts...
I quite fancy being slumped in front of sport on TV for the rest of the day but the weather is too good to waste at this time of year!
Good Afternoon, I hope you get the makeup you like Hazel, you feel naked without anything on don’t you 😊 Biglad It’s always difficult to pass up an opportunity to go in the garden even if it’s only a short encounter you feel that you’ve made the most of it. Have a rest later on though 🛋
When we moved here the previous owners left us a vase of flowers and we received a welcome card from the immediate neighbours which was lovely. Our son was born 2 weeks after moving in (barely unpacked) then both sides went up for sale! 😱 It transpired that it was just coincidental that this happened but it made us feel terrible. Our new neighbours both sides are fantastic I’m pleased to say and have stayed 😅
After switching off and re-starting my Laptop a few times it seems to have revived, but is a bit slower than usual. I'm typing this on it. I've also been able to print the estimate for a new front door which needs signing.
I feel much more comfortable without makeup.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I've done a couple of hours in the garden. Unfortunately, most of it hasn't made any difference to the naked eye Mostly digging up tree roots around where the stumps were ground down last week. Finished off a planter which is earmarked for a blueberry plant. I'll have to decide where it is going before putting the blueberry in it though
Loads of bulbs developing nicely but these chaps were looking a bit wind battered so I put them inside. None of them were anywhere near fully open but they looked far happier when I came in
