Ante, I hope that you managed to get some little tasks done at the cottage today.
Hazel, I hope things are OK with you - you sound a bit upset. Have a good sleep.
T'Bird, I can only empathise with your feelings about the m/home. Such a shame as you have had some adventures in it.
Busy, I hope that you have a nice evening with your friends - and that this time the frozen sloes were remembered. Its always nice when you have your haircut by someone you trust to do a good job.
Yvie, I am another one who swears by N***l occasionally when a decent sleep is needed. Love the caramel flavour too
p.s. Snap Chive, we said similar things.

p.s. Chive, meant to say that I'm glad you are now completely clear of the lurgy.

Night night LB. I love those paintings - especially the snowdrops and iris. Did Joyce paint them herself?

I'm so pleased to hear the sideboard is staying in the family. It really is a stunning example of contemporary craftmanship and artistry and is a modern collector's piece which will never be out of fashion.

LB Beautiful paintings all of them, so thoughtful of Sameena to select those for you and the crochet books as a lovely memory of Joyce. Thank you yes completely free of the virus now 🙌
Goodnight All, I hope you sleep well.

@Topbird don't blame you for wanting to sell the Motorhome, sad in some ways, but you and OH would always worry about going far in it and it being road worthy. Better to be safe. You have lots of happy memories of holidays. Perhaps if you get a new one you can have lots more lovely trips and memories.
@Yviestevie you've been busy again, take care. You'll sleep well tonight.
@Songbird-1 hope you've had a relaxing afternoon.  Hope your messages weren't too upsetting, take care, hope you sleep better tonight.
@Ladybird4 what pretty paintings, such lovely gifts and lots of memories of Joyce. Love the one of the snowdrops. I remember the sideboard, it was beautiful. The crochet books will bring lots of memories too as you learn to crochet.
@Busy-Lizzie hope you had a lovely evening. Did you remember to take the frozen Sloes.
@Chivetalking glad you feel so much better.
@bluebellsintherain hope you get a better nights sleep too.

Night night from me too, sleep well everyone. Sweet dreams.

T'Bird, all the smaller paintings have been done by an artist called Lucy Ball. The biggest one of the Rhododendron luteum by an artist called Sandra Morrison. That one needs re-framing as it has lost its glass so I will have that done. There is a picture framer in the village who has done some for me before. Sameena told me that she has a portrait of Monty Don - still at Joyce's - which she is going to bring back for me. She was smiling as she told me that Joyce had a 'thing' for Monty. I saw many examples of Joyce's needlework in the house. All very beautiful and Sameena has started to do it too. She had a lovely representation of Van Gogh's The Irises, one with echoes of William Morris and a gorgeous representation of Walter Crane's The Swans. Yesterday I felt that I was in a Moorcroft museum. Sameena has hundreds (no exaggeration) of pieces.Of course I also got to see her two lovely Bengal cats who - similar to Lily - were snuggled up on the bed. It was an interesting visit and I hope to go again.

Good morning all. On way to work which always seems like a waste of time when it’s gardening weather, it’s that time of year when I am itching to make a start! Rescued 3 wallflower plants from Tesco yesterday down to 68p from £2.50  and. Looking okay after an overnight soak. I don’t really need them but they can go in a pot by back door for a bit of colour and scent.
Sounds like @Ladybird4 had a lovely day with Joyce’s daughter.

I think I will to go to 'sco for some vitals (Lily food) this morning. I've noticed a lack of her preferred food for some months now. Whether the company has stopped making it or supplies are in short supply I don't know but she is such a finicky little madam I think I need to try something else now. What are the odds on me remembering to use my vouchers today?

    Morning everyone,
Sun is shining, but the sky looks rather strange. Looks like it could rain.
@debs64 hope you have a good day at work. Hopefully its not a full day and you can get in the garden later.
@Ladybird4 sounds like a lovely day yesterday. I'm sure Sameena feels happy that Joyce's pictures are now going to be in your home now.
I'm having a haircut this morning, it seems to have grown quite a bit since it was cut 6 weeks ago. 🤣
    Hope you slept well Rosie.

Good Morning LB, Debs & SGL and all to follow,
LB It does sound like you had a wonderful time with Sameena yesterday, lovely to reflect on your friend and see those examples of needlework that had been done by Joyce in her daughters home. It’s going to seem strange not going to see your bestie today, I hope you find something tasty to tempt Lily 🐈
Debs Hope work goes well today, those wallflowers are a bargain you could not miss they’ll make a lovely display,
SGL Fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain, especially after you come out of the hairdressers it will be nice to have a trim,
Bluebells I hope you and your mum & dad are all ok,
Time for some breakfast, hope you all have a good day ahead.
