I like emails. They give a written record of what has been said and to whom which can be important in some circumstances.
I can send the same information to all 35 patch club members or just the committee without having to send it umpteen times and I like a full screen and the formatting options.. Even more important when I was dealing with 200 members of the dance club un Belgium. I have a spellchecker that detects which language I'm using.
Mind you, I do have 2 committee members who don't like PCS and only read their emails after I send a text to tell them. Occasionally send texts to OH or Possum or friends I may be meeting for an excursion to confirm arrangements but that's all.

"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
I'm with you @Obelixx - I like emails too. They give you time to think about what it is you want to say, you can copy in other people and forward replies to bring in others. What is annoying is when people don't reply - even when asked a direct question!
Don't you hate it when the little green 'buds' on an unfamiliar perennial start to move😡. I suspect this will be a bumper year for greenfly. There weren't that many last year - or should that be wasn't?
In the safe zone of the curmudgeon's corner, can I just whinge about how much I dislike it when people call their plants `she` or `he` (`she's looking really poorly, and I don't know how to look after her`)? Sorry, just had to get that off my chest!
I hate texting too. If it's important enough, then call and speak, if it's not important, don't bother.
The MD of a company that I worked for in the early days of e-mail had the same mindset. He never read emails and people would always call him to find out if he'd received it. Then he would have the conversation. Wise man.

Quite. They're plants, not people
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Not much different from referring to a car as She or He is it ? At least a plant is a living thing ( or most of the time hopefully ) whilst a car requires human intervention to poke it into life
@philippasmith2- and if the car's being 'difficult' you can always shout 'start, ya b*gger'. That sometimes works... Mind you, shouting at plants in a similar way is often beneficial. Possibly more to us than the plants though. 'Grow, ya b*gger' etc...
I don't like the whole 'naming cars' thing either.

When t'other half was in Hospital last summer, I couldn't cope with all the telephone calls wanting daily updates, so I resorted to messenger, typed it out once, then copy and paste for everyone else. Sitting doing nothing at a bedside for 12 hours is so emotionally knackering.
