Well, so long as the police say it then of course it must be true.
and the lovely tories rushed the new powers through, so that's fine too isn't it?

A persistent Maggie has discovered the fat feeder.  Fed up with chasing it off so the woodpecker can get a look in. I won't be putting anymore out this season now.

One child is ill and just wants peace to sleep, the other must have acquired some Class A sugar from somewhere and is keen on staying up all night having a techno nursery rhyme rave.  :|

  • Just returning after a few days of panic due to my mobile phone giving up the ghost!!
    Why do phones do that!

So, combine the confusion of me getting a new phone, and my wife opting to change hers, on the same day!! Now neither of us know what we are doing!!🙃

Heartily sick of NDN's garden re-design. We've had to endure both the digger and exceedingly loud music all day - loud because the driver obviously can't hear it above the digger noise. Been going on for days. He doesn't listen to requests to turn it down either as he's either autistic or just thick. He's the NDN's son so it's tricky.

I sympathise with you @Lizzie27. I’ve had building work going on around me on and off for the last three years.  I can’t understand why some workers need a radio on when they’re using power tools and wearing ear protectors!  Grrrr!

That's an awful long time to put up with such noise @Plantminded. We always insist our tradesman work without a radio on.

I do too @Lizzie27.  The property next to me has changed owners twice in the last 3 years.  The first owner refurbished it to a high standard, the second changed all the refurbishments, employed a cowboy builder to build an extension and is now having his poor work redone by another set of workers.  A real test of my patience and diplomacy skills!

We've just got to the end of our four week wait for my son's hospital appointment and he's too ill to go :|  We rang the doctor for an appointment this morning, said we had a hospital appointment and could we come after that but the only time they could give us was the exact time of the hospital appointment. They said they'd speak to the hospital to try and get a new appointment asap. If they can do that I'm not sure why we've just waited 4 weeks for a simple blood test? I still can't understand why there's no one available to the GP surgery who can take a blood sample from a child. :|

It can be very difficult to take blood from children, not something I would expect most GP's to be able to do, unless they were doing it all of the time.
