I did @Dovefromabove.  Cleaned it up just in time to take the fritata out of the oven.

@Nanny Beach I have a friend at patch who spends over 2 hours getting ready in the morning before she can face the world.  Some of that is cleaning the kitchen after her breakfast ( a bit OCD?) but most of it is ironing her wavy hair into a straight bob helmet.  I suggested she grow it longer and tie it back like I do.  5 mins max if I need to sort out my fringe.  It will insist on growing!

I'm seventeen months older than my brother ... as a child he was always absolutely livid each January when my age became two years more than his ... now he tries to rub it in that I'm 'two years older' than him ......... however his attempts to do that aren't helped when I point out to him that no one believes it  o:)

It's great when you look younger than your years.  Many years ago my cousin stayed on holiday for a couple of weeks with my mum.  They were in the local shops when somebody said to my mum that it must be lovely having her sister staying with her.  Mum was delighted, my cousin less so for some reason.  Maybe the reason being the she was 21 years younger than mum.
I had an amusing exchange at work when I heard there had been a seminar held at our office for peope approaching retirement age but nobody had told me about it.  When I complained to the person who had arrange it the conversation went something like - Them "Well you have to be over 60"
    Me "I retire next year"
Them "But it doesn't cover early retirement, just those approaching State Retirement age"
Me "I'm not retiring early. I'm 66 in March"
    Them "No your not!"

KT,that's funny, this morning we were on our way to the beach. I mentioned to my hubby it was a shame, the  pool I used to go to a little Victorian swimming pool in Eastbourne, had closed. The water was 30c so like a bath. I didn't learn to swim till I was 40, couldn't go out of my depth. However, Thursday morning was over 60s,so often about 5 really friendly people. Went in a couple of years back. Got to the pool side (in my bikini) young girl said in a very loud voice"excuse me, this session is for over 60s only,"made my day. No, this shouldn't be on curmudgeons!!I used to clean the house of this rather snotty woman who was very tall,'horsey' and a couple of years older than me. She had the builders in,they called her my mother.she was absolutely furious. Looked down her nose at me,and said it was obviously because I was so short!

I'm 11 months and 9 days younger than my brother, so for 3 weeks between Dec 1st and Dec 21st, we're the same age

Trying hard now to think of something I can moan about......  ;)

Hospital consultant's secretary said she'd phone me back, she didn't. GP Surgery's receptionist said someone would call me back about issuing the wrong prescription, no one called.  Now I've got to wait until Monday.

This is the best curmudgeon I could muster!

My two eldest sons are 1 year apart, less 1 day. When they were little they used to have their birthday party on the day in between when they were the same age. Their younger brother always felt he was missing out because nobody shared his birthday (partly because they are both June and he is December).

I had an outpatient appointment in London today, been waiting since December.  I had to travel on a packed Northern line train for the first time in over 2 years,  just as the covid cases go through the roof again.  😨
