Squirrels are eating (well, no, not eating, pulling off and chewing up and spitting out) my little peaches, which are walnut sized and just flushed with pink.

The tree is outside in a pot. Too heavy to move.

Have tried covering it in fleece, bubblewrap, plastic sheets. They just go in and under.

    🤬

You need an Orangery! Or similar.

Yes the squirrels are particularly destructive this year. Not just digging up bulbs but taking off flowers and stems.
    AB Still learning

  • We have squirrels about, but our tulips are still entire - those that haven't been stripped by the wind!!

However, they do have a tendency to create holes in the soil of pots. Since I've just planted up a gooseberry bush in a 50 litre pot, this afternoon, I can expect holes to be dug, and soil scattered across the patio.

I think it must be the new young squirrels @Allotment Boy, caught one eating the pear blossom this morning. They seem to be tasting anything they can reach at the moment, I expect they'll go for my wisteria buds next.

Could you get some chicken wire and make a cage @pansyface? A tall cylinder with a round roof wired to the sides should do it. Won't look very elegant but might save your peaches!

I want to apply 'Weed and Feed' to my lawn but the instructions say to apply when the grass is dry.  Fat bleedin' chance of that at present.
    Use a hairdryer!!

What a stupid idea.  The cord isn't long enough. :)

Have you seen the price of toilet paper? How go people who can't afford food, afford toilet paper, tampons etc?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

@B3 I remember the days of people using torn up newspaper instead of toilet paper.  As I now get the digital version I don't think that will work very well.

Likely to block the pipes too. Particularly the digital version

Digital version is not very environmentally friendly - single use!!!
