@JennyJ a lot of HRT carries 2 charges because it’s 2 separate drugs and it can be confusing for everyone so maybe check online before you go by the specific name of the product. The staff are probably checking the computer to see what to charge. Maybe worth looking into the new PPC for HRT that starts today.

Yes,  it’s only Dihydracodine  she phones me once a year,  ask the usual questions, I say all’s fine,  she says it’s updated for another year.
I could have two lots of eye meds for Sjogrens  but the NHS ones are useless so I buy those privately.
Doctors haven’t made much money on us two over the years,  OH hasn’t seen one for 21 years,  that was for something minor.

I have noticed prescriptions coming through more quickly in the last few days. I think the doctors are trying to help people and not let them run out of medication over the Easter holidays. We have been exceptionally busy this week.
At least you have everything sorted out @Nanny Beach

I assume that's a "just in case" scenario. My GP says allow 72 hours. My pharmacy says to allow another 48 hours, in case they have to order.

I had confirmation this morning that my prescription has been authorised.  Only 5 days this time - wow!

I know that @Debs, mine isn't but the pharmacy always ask me for the double payment to begin with. The pharmacist always puts them straight so I do only pay one charge, but the staff try it on first, treat me like I'm trying to fiddle the system, and then waste the pharmacist's time asking. Every single time. To be fair the pharmacist herself came out into the shop and apologised last time so I hope the assistants were put straight later and told not to treat customers like that. Not holding my breath though.
