I have a curmudgeon to share with you.

Shops that have a colouring-in screen for youngsters.  You just tap the part you wish coloured in with the stylus of that colour!!  Where are the crayons and colouring in pencils?  How can you teach a child care in their work with just a touch of a stylus.
You never need go over the lines again or go around the lines in a darker shade and then lightly shade in carefully - I hope normal colouring in books are still used at home

It's safer that way than the situation where somebody gave kids crayons in a museum and they scribbled all over a number of statues.

    Absolutely.  B)
  • I suppose, @tui34, that if kids really, really want to do colouring-in they could take their own books and pencils (not crayons) with them.

A major gripe from waiting-on staff at a Charlie Chalk restaurant near us that used to supply kids with outlines to colour-in and wax crayons, was the amount of extra time it took to clean up the ‘overspill’ on the table tops.
When there's always biscuits in the tin, where's the fun in biscuits ?
  • …. Time for slug pubs in the greenhouse  as well I think.
Love it ! 😁. I’ve never heard them called that before ! 🤣

Lack of knowledge or a silent protest ? ;)  Noisy protests are no longer allowed apparently - or at least if there's a chance of it upsetting certain sacred institutions and their inmates.

Fox cubs have flattened the usual plants in my garden. Nothing I'm feeling precious about. I'm feeling peeved that I didn't have the pleasure of watching the antics but had to clean up the mess anyway.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

@philippasmith2, I understood that noisy protests were acceptable but intents to block  the Coronation route were not. The police apparently had inside knowledge that that was what was intended so they arrested the ringleaders and confiscated their "lock on"
instruments. The protestors had prior meetings with the police and promised to abide by certain protocols but obviously never intended to keep to them.

If there were only roughly 50 arrests it certainly seems the arrests were well targetted.
  • Well, so long as the police say it then of course it must be true.
