@B3 this is the subject of another thread about stupidity.

Thanks all for the advice about the polycarbonate sheets, I hadn't realize you could get them cut to size, thought they'd only come in standard sizes.

There's always something isn't there. We have a stone chip on the windscreen of the car today. There is a local screen repair place so I phoned the insurance to see if I could use them (they won't pay for a non approved contractor). Usual auto menu on the phone when I tapped 1 for glass repair claim it took me straight to Aut**lass who I know are the most expensive. I only pay the excess so whatever, make appointment, man comes today "yes I can repair that" 20 mins later ring on the bell "unfortunately when I started repair the chip has spread to a crack and now it reaches the bottom edge of the screen, we will have to replace the whole screen". They are coming back Tuesday and my excess goes from £20 to £95.
Suspicious you betcha, nothing I can do about though.

That's very unfortunate @Allotment Boy and as you say, distinctly suspicious.
My OH says the same thing has happened to him so you have his sympathy.

Is there no limit to stupidity?
Is ingestion of daffodils fatal? If not , a valuable lesson might be learnt by those in need of it.
On the other hand, maybe a major supermarket should also realise it's not a good idea to display potentially poisonous products next to edibles?

"The flowers, which can be poisonous if eaten, were displayed in the fruit and veg aisle under a "seasonal favourites" banner." (See photo)

If even their staff and store manager were not aware of this issue, then it's not inconceivable that there are customers who are also not aware. After all, there are edible flowers out there and it seems like a trend to use flowers in salads or as a garnish.

Sainsbury's regularly have green potatoes on display next to the fresh ones

Why is it that the minute the Met Office start talking about "Meteorological Spring", the weather promptly turns colder ?
