I have an operation coming up (parathyroidectomy if you're curious). Been diagnosed since 2013, and now finally on the operation list. Two weeks ago the hospital phoned up and have a date of the 15th Feb, brilliant. A week ago they phoned again and said we have to cancel, can we reorganise to the 14th Feb. I'm a bit confused, but OK, whatever. This morning they phoned again. Cancelled and reorganised to the 13th. I'm sure cancellations used to mean a later date, not earlier.

I suspect they have had a cancellation/cancellations which has enabled them to move the date forward.  If they said your op was cancelled it is at best poor use of language.

My vote would go to most of the organised religions, not just the CoE.  Of those operating within the UK the Catholic church seems to have the worst reputation for abuse, both of people and power.  It is at least possible to vote a governing party out of power!

We can easily choose to have no religion in our lives, but we're stuck with "governing parties.
religion is , at best, superstitious claptrap: at worse, the most evil form of brainwashing ever devised by man.
IMHO they're all as bad as each other.
" ours is a religion of peace, . Convert or we'll kill you " I'm pretty sure they've all done it from time to time
