Those nights are when the biters come in for a bloodlust orgy. I have to keep my windows shut in the summer.
I opened the bedroom and en suite windows, but left the blinds down to stop the mozzies

They just didn't fancy you @Hostafan1.
If they found you appealing, blinds would have been no barrier.
But , in case you're offended, one theory is that everyone gets bitten but only the unlucky ones get the allergic reaction.

I didn't know that tog existed.  I bet you wear slippers too! There's nothing worse than hot feet - apart from parsnips.

A woodpigeon has decided to build a nest in the acar at the edge of my patio. I'm going to have to persuade it to change it's mind. Stupid place quite close to the ground and easy c*t access.

I can sleep with the window open 'coz my missus is a mozzie magnet.  She'll get bitten to death and I remain untouched or I don't react.

I've done for the nest. It was just a dozen loose twigs. Got  it in time.  Hope they find a happy home somewhere else . Far away from my garden or at least down the end in the ivy.

I've been watching a grey squirrel demolishing the content of the bird feeders.  I banged on the window, the little git jumped down onto the fence and looked at me, clearly decided I wasn't a threat so jumped back up onto the bird feeders and carried on happily.  This could just as easily have been posted in RTBC if it wasn't so cocky!
