At least you won’t get the Staggers if you breathe it in? Some years ago, OH and I were helping a friend inoculating their small flock of sheep, and giving them their doses of wormer. OH was in charge of holding the ‘patients’ while I gave them a squirt of wormer down the throat, and a jab below the back of the neck. Got into a very efficient routine until he lost his grip on one, and I gave him the shot instead. Down to the local A and E with the drug information sheet. When the staff had finished laughing, and calling their colleagues in to hear the story, they gave him a precautionary anti tetanus shot, and some antibiotics, and reassured him he was now safe from liver fluke and foot rot.
That reminds me of the father of a friend many year ago. They were sheep dipping, with my friend 'encouraging' the sheep into the dipping trough and his father putting his foot on the back of the sheep for a couple of seconds to make sure it was completely covered. All fine until he missed on sheep and ended up submerged in the trough himself. He got the same level of sympathy received by your OH.
if it's a good idea to send men to Rwanda, why aren't they sending women and children there too? A sensible answer please
My guess is that the vast majority of those trying to get into the UK illegally are males travelling alone. If they can be discouraged from making the journey far fewer families will try to join them once the men are in the UK. As I say just a guess from a non-affiliated member of the group.
That is why I asked earlier about your 'routes' comment. It does not seem to be illegal to enter this country by any means to claim asylum. So what rules cover your 'illegally' in your ' ....majority of those trying to get into the UK illegally...'? Isn't the issue that they can't claim asylum til they get here - only after that asylum application is heard can you tell if they are then allowed to stay or not. How then does this Rwanda thing work? As I gather that even if the appeal for asylum is then upheld, they stay in Rwanda. How on earth is that ever right? The whole thing is a mockery. And to try to sell it as a way of controlling the 'nasty human traffickers' just compounds the immorality of it all.
