And Putin's weaponry depends on western bits of technology.

I must resist the temptation to read the political curmudgeons, that way lies madness for me!
My curmudgeon is that I have just rinsed some strawberries, carefully over a bowl to save the water for plant watering. Very virtuous, but forgot the bowl has hand holes on the sides, tried to pour out the water from the corner of the bowl and ended up with wet feet and squelchy sandals. Just lucky I had alternative sandals to change into, all my slippers are warm ones.

I didn't even need to read that link @AnniD, to know what it was. Heard it on the radio this morning.
Are these just morons who basically don't give a sh*t?
    Don't answer that....

As bad as the people gaily power washing paving, and watering grass with sprinklers [even when it's raining] up here, without a care in the world, although at least they aren't tying up emergency services.
Me, me, me.... I want it so I'll do it.  :|
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I think there’s a generation of folk who don’t actually listen to the news programmes, neither national and world, nor local … if it’s not on Yahoo or similar it’s of no relevance to them … society is fragmenting 😭  😡

Sometimes it's good to have a little local problem to be curmudgeonly about, in order to stop permanently stressing about the enormous world problems you can't solve...  so...

...we had a 12 hour power cut yesterday & today, starting ten minutes before the end of Gardener's World.  There's now a shiny new transformer on the pole in the neighbour's field, which could well be a RTBC, I suppose.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
