Well .., that’s to be expected … they grew up watching blokes play football didn’t they? 😉

Do they still refer to it as 'handbags' when it's women playing, or is there gender reversal? I'd like to hear some commentators saying things like 'Don't worry, it's just a bit of willy waving'.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

In these days of being able to define your own gender the commentator might be right. :D

You only need to look at how rugby has changed since it went professional, gets more like football all the time.
I was looking forward to a bit of female mud wrestling.
How can you lie there and think of England

Why do these 'memes' spread across gender as well?
    In the past:
Cantona started turning up his shirt collar - so that spread like wildfire.
Beckham got tattoos - the world went tattoo mad.

    Now:
For some reason now, players now 'tuck up' the legs on their shorts to make them tighter and shorter.
It became an offence to take off your shirt in a celebration, but players still did it and got booked.

How - why - are these in the women's game? - it isn't the money - is it just the human flocking instinct? A woman player even took her shirt off yesterday in celebration? What was all that about?

@punkdoc I can't agree about rugby becoming more like football.  Rugby players accept what the ref says, generally without obvious dissent, although they may question the parentage of the ref under their breath.  They don't roll on the ground as if they've been taken out by a sniper if they are so much as touched by an opponent.  One thing which is creeping in, and really do dislike, is trying to get opponents 'binned' or sent off for a tackle which goes slightly too high.  That happens mostly at the very top level, and I think the ones complaining at the ref should be the ones 'binned'.

Well no ... because physical contact is part of rugby ... it's almost the point of it ... whereas it's not part of football.
