    Yes ... it's just spam.

The post was nonsense ... for mother’s day buy your mother a gift that benefits the child i.e. you. Actually, I think I might adopt this approach at Christmas. “It’s because you live in a flat without a garden that I bought you secateurs. It is to give you pleasure when you give them to me.”
Mmm our dog used to buy my husband dog biscuits or dog chocs for Christmas.

I once had a customer say to me , on my Birthday  " I know you don't drink but here's a bottle of wine for your birthday "

If you're into it, Mother's Day is for mothers not their offspring.
I reckon that a mother should get the presents on a child's birthday. After all she did the grunt ( scream ) work.

The head teacher of the school I taught at was bearded. He always got given After shave.
Mother's Day in Britain was when domestic servants returned to their mother church, it had nothing to do with maternity.

… and it was called Mothering Sunday …. never Mother’s Day
… that’s a recent introduction from the USA.
If you hunt around the shops you can still find the occasional card with Mothering Sunday on it instead of Mother’s Day. Ma was always very pleased if she received a proper Mothering Sunday card 😊

You might also focus on when mother's day is in this country.

The dwarf daffs that I planted in pots are sprouting already, so they might be too early for Mothers' day. Maybe they'll do for Dad's birthday, late February.

I think a spammer resurrected this thread yesterday, hence @B3's post.
You'd think they'd have better things to do wouldn't you.... ;)

I like to have something in flower to take to the cemetery, but it can be hit and miss, as my daffs aren't usually out by Mother's Day, and I don't grow the dwarf ones. I often have hellebores though.  :)
