If you're a genuine poster @stephanepatteuxP4YZaBYT, I apologise, but we are plagued on a daily basis by spammers touting their rubbish. The construction of your opening query had all the hallmarks.
It would be better to ask your mother what she would like.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Perhaps you could tell us a bit about the conditions your Mum has in her house, in the room(s) where she might want to keep a plant gift? Which direction does it face? A south-facing windowsill would get some full sun, North facing probably none, etc, and does she keep her house really warm, or cooler? Do you want a permanent green house plant, or something flowering for a temporary display? Does she have a garden where something could be planted after it's finished doing its thing indoors?
I'd go to B&Q or similar and buy pots of bulbs from the garden centre if I hadn't already grown some, because I know my Mum likes those but she's not really a house plant person.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
My favourite house plants are: Pilea which is easy to grow from a very small plant and easy to propagate. Also string of pearls[Senecio Rowleyanus] I also love spider plants they will go in a pot in the garden during summer. Australian Ivy[Muehienbeckia] will look lovely with the Pilea and can also go in the garden for the summer months. All in different shades of green. Look out for small plants so that your Mother can enjoy seeing them grow.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
Ok, so house near Bristol in the south west, large south facing windows in the living room and it does get warm in the summer. She is more of a house plant person.
Oh dear...blush! English is my first and only language ...but I have a mental block re spelling. Advice verses Advise. It is hard ....I probably get it wrong frequently! Please be kind to me!

I am a genuine poster, can't believe the reception I had. I will correct the spelling mistake while I am at it.
